Tassimo from Kraft

Kraft has a very unique looking entry into the Single Serve Coffee market. Tassimo makes tea, coffee, and espresso. Don't expect Tassimo in the US anytime soon - it's rolling out in France first.

"With Tassimo, your wish will be granted in seconds...whether it is an exquisite espresso, an indulgent cappuccino, even a gentle cup of tea or a rich hot chocolate - all using quality brands that you know and love. Whatever you wish for, the Tassimo hot beverage system makes it simply perfect...at the touch of a button."

Kraft Foods Tassimo Hot Beverage System will make its debut at the International Home & Housewares Show in Chicago this weekend. Kraft already introduced the brand in France, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. The brewing machine is made by Saeco International Group SpA, and will be distributed by Braun, a division of The Gillette Co. The T-Discs are being manufactured and distributed by Kraft. The Tassimo machine will be available this fall in high-end home goods and housewares stores and at gevalia.com and tassimo.com at a suggested retail price of approximately $189. T-Discs will range in price from $4.99 to $10.99.

Do you know if you can get t-discs cheaper on internet than in shops?
Posted by: k graham at April 3, 2005 5:17 PM
You can buy the t-discs from Boots, Tesco, Sainsbury and Asda, I ahve also looked online and the onnly place that sells them cheaper is ebay they get shipped from france different names on the packaging but they work, Yes thats right the machine can read all barcodes no matter what country you buy the t-discs from. Let me know if you need anymore info. Its by fare the best coffee machine I have ever bought, well done Braun.

I saw this thing on display at a Bergners store so they are here in the US now. Braun has one that does even more drinks like Hot Chocolate, Cappaccino, Hot Tea, etc....

I researched single serve coffee makers and was sure that the Tassimo was the ideal machine. If you are looking to make 5 oz. cup of coffee it is ideal, however, if you are like most folks who fill 16 oz mugs to kick start your day--you will be sadly disappointed, To do this, you will need two Pods each time, plus dealing with the excess water that oozes from the "water reserve outlet". For $169 retailer--I suggest you wait for the next generation of machines.

I purchased my Tassimo last December. Since that time I had to return it twice for service. The last time they couldn't repair it. They are going to send me a new one. The problem is when?????? I sent it back Sept.30 today is Nov.6 and they still have not shipped it since they are on back order. You can go to many retail outlets and find them on the shelf but the manufacture has none for me.
