This looks like a cross between a coffee press and a single serve coffee nightmare. Has anyone used this thing?
"The Toddy brewer produces a low acid, espresso-like concentrate - good for about 32 cups of HOT coffee per batch. Just add water for a distinctively fresh, smooth taste that has delighted connoisseurs for some 40 years. And, refrigerated, there's no waste - Toddy can be made one cup at a time."

Best cup of hot coffee I've had - bold, smooth taste. Toddy was served at a dinner party last weekend in Nantucket. I just purchased one at www.ToddyCafe.com - can't wait to brew a batch. Kate

I have used this "toddy" coffee maker for years and LOVE it.
I brew a big batch of what I tell my friends is "coffee extract."
I refrigerate it - lasts a week or more. You can take the extract, add water to taste and heat it or, what I do is, use it cold by adding chocolate soy milk or making my own ice-blended drinks. Apparently this is the system used by Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf - they started the ice-blended drinks by mixing this toddy extract with their own flavored sugar mixes. I got quite addicted to the excellent taste - very smooth, very low acid.

My cousin got this for me as a Christmas present, it is absolutely the best I've had. I've always preferred my coffee cold and this is an excellent concentrate. I mix it with water and soy milk for my morning cup. A friend of mine mixes it with water and heats it for hot coffee (he loves his as well). Well worth waiting for the brew to finish (about 12 hours or so), nice smooth coffee (and strong if you don't cut it).
