Bunn Jumping Into Single Serve Coffee with My Cafe
Bunn is jumping into the Single Serve Coffee craze with their My Cafe Professional grade brewer for coffee and tea. I would assume this will use a similiar pod system like Melitta or the Senseo - however - they do claim "professional grade" - and this makes me think there may be more to this machine than meets the eye.

Being s coffee drinker for over fifty years I never really new what a good cup was until we sprung for a Sense pod brewer. Once that happened my intake went from three to six cups before noon when I stopped for the rest of the day. I found myself using double pods because I just wasn’t getting the kick I was looking for. I even went so far as to buy one of those presto Gizmos for Sense so I could experiment with different blends of coffee but this proved more of a mess then it was worth.
Enter the Bunn My Café pod brewer. The Bunn along with the My Pod Maker seemed to be the answer to my prayers. As far as my perfect cup of coffee was concerned. That is until the Pod maker burned up after about thirty pods. I promptly complained and was sent a brand new one three days later and then that one self destructed after about ten pods. Here I had a machine of a simple design self destructing on a regular basis. What was I to do? Well I decided to give the MY Pod Maker people one more shot and so far so good. After a few hundred pods Things are working fine (knock on wood). I must hand it to the my pod people for not giving up on me.
And now for my perfect cup of coffee. Those of you who consider yourself coffee aficionados give me a break cause I like what I like.
First I overstuff one of my pods about two and a half measures. I then add to my empty cup two packets of Swiss Miss rich hot choclet and two tablespoons of Coffee Mate dry creamer. I then set my Bunn to 10oz. And push the bottom. The rest is flavor history. Try it, you will like it.
Welcome back from vacation!
I'm thinking about pre-ordering this maker while Amazon has the $20 gift certificate offer. Any chance we'll see a review soon?
