Senseopods.com Sends Pods to Review

Arie at Senseopods.com was kind enough to send us a set of coffee pods from all over Europe! We have received Senseo Mocca Gourmet, C1000 Spicy, and others to try out. We will be reviewing these over the next few weeks but we can tell you so far...C1000 Spicy is SPICY!!! And the pods came packed FRESH.

In the mean time - check out Senseopods.com

HORRIBLE!! I ordered pods on 12/27 and as of 1/31, I haven't heard a thing from them, except for the canned, auto-generated email. I emailed customer service four times to ask about the order with no response. When I first found the site, the first thing I saw were the Eco-Pods. I was bummed because I had just bought a set off Ebay for about $5.00 more, plus more in shipping because they were coming from Germany. Well, I've been enjoying my Eco-Pods from Germany for almost a month, and I am STILL waiting for pods from this place!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I placed an order on Nov. 21. No replies to emails, no coffee, no refund. Time to contact Florida States Attorney re: possible fraud.

Yet another unhappy customer. I placed an order about a month ago, and aside from the confirmation, I have received no updates. I've emailed him weekly and have received nothing in return. Bad business! Won't use this outfit again.
Does anyone know an alternative (without having to pay a costly import tax)?

This is formerly Senseopods.com - so I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm not sure what the deal is with them - but as you can see above people have had very very mixed results.

Posted by: Jay Brewer at January 11, 2005 7:17 AM

If you will note, the offerings on the www.shopforpods.com site have been reduced quite a bit. I also have no response to e-main. I placed an order on November 26 and am still waiting !

I placed a big order with Arie on December 22 -it is now January 10 and I have no coffee - emails have gone unanswered - I've ordered from him before with no problem - is he on vacation or something?? I've cancelled my order and won't buy from him again.

I placed and order two weeks ago with Senseopods.com (now ShopforPods.com) and have heard nothing. I have sent two emails without a response so now I have tried to cancel my order. STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENDOR!!!!!!

Follow up: I finally received my order, shipped from Europe, today (December 10, 2004).

Posted by: Brian at December 11, 2004 12:58 AM

My situation goes from bad to worse. I ordered Nov. 15, but as of Dec 9, I've got nothing to show for it. I've sent at least 7 email messages asking for some information, but I got no response.

On Nov. 28 I did receive an auto-generated email stating that I'd receive my shipment in 7 days, but it hasn't arrived. And still, no one responds to my email requests for information.

My advice: Avoid this service. With service like this, this company isn't going to make it, and when he folds, he may take your order money with you -- sans coffee.

Posted by: Brian at December 9, 2004 11:26 PM

I received my coffee today. The email I received stated 7 business days and it made it in 11 ...

I won't complain about that compared to some of the stories I saw above...

It looks like shipping from the warehouse in the Netherlands was the answer.

I also got the new Sumatra, Brazil, and Kenya coffee and can't wait to try them....

To update my previous comments--

I went ahead today (after 3 unanswered emails) through the process of getting my money refunded thru paypal since my 30 day window to do so would end tomorrow. Well wouldn't you know that got a quick response!!

He refunded my money, and told me I had 'erroneously assumed the transaction had been completed just because the money had been deducted from my account'. Well excuse me for assuming that I should expect some products once someone gets my money??

I don't recommend this joker to anyone. I recommend that you stay as far away from this scammer as possible! There are plenty of other options that aren't so shady.

I ordered my coffee from senseopods.com over 2 weeks ago--hoping to share it with family at Thanksgiving. What a disappointment--it was never received. I am still waiting and have not received an email reply from the company. I would not order from them again--even if they are working on shipping problems--for the amount they charge for shipping and handling, it just isn't worth it.

I just received a shipping status on my November 23rd order. It said they would be shipping tomorrow and I could expect my coffee within 7 business days.

Also as I stated before, they will be shipping from Netherlands to avoid the extra time required by customs for inspection. Sounds like they know what their shipping problem was. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Posted by: Harry G at November 28, 2004 1:07 PM

I put an order in on the 23rd and it is still marked pending, but it has been a holiday. Of course they posted new coffee on the 25th that I have just ordered from Holland ( with all the high shipping costs @#$%$##@ )

He has to change his website name also, Sara Lee objects to his using senseo.

The website states slow shipping because of customs upon arrival in the states and he will start shipping from Netherlands direct.I will post when my coffee arrives.

I ordered last week. My order is still 'pending' and I can't get a response from them at all. It's really unprofessional and can only be hurting them via crappy reviews like this one. Does anybody have a phone number that I can call to cancel my order? Obviously e-mail doesn't work.

Posted by: joe at November 25, 2004 1:56 PM

I ordered on 10/31, and no word. I emailed twice, no response. When I check on their site about past orders, it says that I have no orders although my bank account and paypal account say I had a withdrawal to them processed on 10/31!! Looks like typicaldutchstuff or cafepods will be getting my orders next time around!

Posted by: Amy at November 21, 2004 2:24 PM

I'm also having trouble with this company. I placed my order a week ago, and the site still shows it as "pending" -- that is, not shipped. I sent an email inquirey a couple of days ago, but no reply. I've just sent a second email asking for some sort of explanation, but I'm not holding my breath.

I agree that this is no way to run a business. At this point, I can't imagine that I'll be ordering from these folks again. There are too many other options.

I haven't used this company yet, I always order from Typicaldutchstuff.com They also have a pretty large selection.
If you order in bulk the shipping costs are easily justified and they often throw in free bags. Also their customer service is a lot better than what I've read about senseopods.com

hope this helps.

I ordered on 10/18, and got my order today 10/25.
Can't complain too much about the turnaround time.
I ordered The Senseo Vienna, Senseo Milano, Gala Dark Roast, and perla Mocca.
I tried the Vienna, and it was great!
It contains chocolate, hazelnut, and vanilla flavors, and really was rich in flavor.
It tasted "fresher" than the freebie bag of medium roast I got with the Senseo purchase.
only 10 pods vs 18 in the other brands/varieties.

Great Site, keep up the good work!

I received my order today. I am guessing that they have been overwhelmed with orders along with possible earlier issues with the numerous hurricanes. They doubled my original order for no charge.

Posted by: Scott at October 21, 2004 5:42 PM

Yes, I would like to hear what Ari has to say since my order was "shipped on 9/24" and I still have not seen it.

Scott

Posted by: Scott Geiger at October 14, 2004 10:14 AM

Maybe the folks from Senseopods.com want to step in and give some insights? Ari?

Posted by: Jay Brewer at October 13, 2004 10:04 PM

I too am now doubting the claim my order was shipped. My order is still in pending status and with 2 to 3 day shipping I should of received it today. I am not holding my breath that I will ever see my order.

Posted by: Scott at October 13, 2004 9:46 PM

I agree, I have been waiting for over three weeks for my order. I would not reccomend this company. Ari (the owner) has responded to a few of my e-mails but that has now stopped. First the delay was blamed on Florida's bad weather, now there are no excuses. They claimed my order was shipped on 9/23... Bad way to do business..

Posted by: Scott Geiger at October 12, 2004 10:05 AM

I finally received a reply today. They told me they were out of stock of one of the varieties I ordered and they will ship my order on Monday.

Posted by: Scott at October 10, 2004 8:25 PM

Wow. That's too bad. They have been very prompt in answering my questions - etc. Let's hope they pull through - but 2 weeks - that's a long time.

However - I do know they were affected by the hurricanes and have had many outages with their internet connections - etc.

Maybe that's it?

Ordered coffee a week ago tomorrow(October 3rd) and still have not seen my shipment. Two messages to Senseopods.com have gone unanswered. Not at all impressed, and certainly not a way to build a dotcom business.

Posted by: Scott at October 9, 2004 4:55 PM

They are a really nice group of folks. We love the coffees they've sent so far.

Posted by: Jay Brewer at October 2, 2004 8:48 AM

Senseopods.com has a great selection and the prices can't be beat. I have ordered and reordered from them
