Kraft Foods Debuts Tassimo Hot Beverage System in the U.S

tassimo_us.jpgLooks like Tassimo is coming to the US!!! I will start today to see if we can drum up a Tassimo and some T-Discs for a review! VERY EXCITING!

"Kraft Foods Inc. (NYSE:KFT), a global leader in branded foods and beverages, today announced plans to launch its proprietary Tassimo Hot Beverage System this fall, in the United States. The new brewing system, which will make its U.S. debut at the International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago this weekend, redefines the "on-demand" coffee category by providing a menu of delicious, coffeehouse quality beverages that can be made at home in less than one minute. Kraft has already successfully launched the new brand in France, followed by more recent introductions in the United Kingdom and Switzerland, making this an innovative growth opportunity with great global potential."

Have you been able to improve your delivery time for placed orders?

I recently went to Linens & Things and they had a very poor inventory. I was not shocked when I went to the check out to find that three customers were exchanging or returning Tassimos because they were having difficulty getting product.

I think it fair that if you were not going to market the discs better than you do you might have told us all and we wouldn't have bought them. I suppose we should start a blog to let people know how messed up your distribution system really is.

Come on guys get with it you need to sell discs conveniently to people who bought your machines or no one else will buy them.

I just purchased the Tassimo coffee pot. It works really well, except I am having trouble finding different types of coffee disks in the supermarket. I dont want to always order on the net. I also am still trying to get used to the size of the cups to get the most out of the disks. It is a great machine. I hope they come out with alot more of the flavored coffees.

Just had the opportunity to see and taste the espresso, coffee, tea and hot chocolate line available wtih the Tassimo Coffee Machine. I am in love! Great for family or small office applications. We even experimented and made a cafe mocha! According to the info I was given, the product will be available through major retailers this fall, in the US at a price of $169.00. The water carafe will be larger that the one on the European model and will have a filtration system.
The machines ran non stop at the FMI Trade Show, held recently in Chicago, IL. According to those working the show there were very few problems with the machine, even running them all the time.
The single serve disks will be packaged 8 or 16 to a package and the average cup of espresso will be approximately .30 a cup. (Compare that to Starbucks!) The tassimo will also accomodate travel mugs as well as your small espresso or demitasse cup. I can't wait! It is already on my wish list!

I was at the Chicago Housewares show and tried it. The cappuchino uses real milk and tasted great. They also had hot chocolate, espresso and tea. But the best part was they had a specific crema SKU for those of us who love it. I can't wait to get mine!

The cappucinno uses liquid milk! You Moron!

Can you tell me where in the U.S. I can purchase the Kraft Tassimo home coffeemaker ASAP?

THANKS!

As only Kraft produce these capsules or T-disks and probably own the patent. Once you buy one you will be locked to the manufacture for the life of the machine ! Something they dont tell you in the sales pitch. The cappuccino uses powdered milk also so its just really a home use vending machine. The paper pod is the future, a universal size brings choice.
