Severin Cafe 2
Has anyone tried this new maker? It looks a little bit like a Senseo that someone pulled out of shape. Hmmm...

Also interesting is the Petra Padissima that appears a little further down on the same page. Takes all pods and achieves a 3.0 bar pressure rating. Anyone tried it?

Yep, tried and tested this model. Its build like a hummer, very big and strong. This machine takes pods or ground coffee thanks to its unique reusable holder. When using pods only 1 7g 62mm at a time ( not double ) which has crema or a straight black filter drip coffee. All sounds good eh, but no the clasp is a nightmare its very hard to make sure its locked in place and tends to make the machine leak more often than it makes cups of coffee ! website :

The Severin Cafe 2 is also inconsistant. Sometimes it'll brew about 4oz from a pod, other times only half that. Using standard ground coffee is messy - the grounds can't easily be removed from the holder, as well as the comments made from the other posts. Wait til the Cafe 3 or 4. The Cafe 2 is not ready for prime time.
