Well - the folks over at Treehugger are obviously a little perturbed with this Self-Heating Can from Wolfgang Puck, but I have to say I'm impressed regardless of the implementation of this being disposable - which I don't agree with in an enviromental sense.
However, a small portable self-heating instant espresso/Single Serve Coffee machine that makes one cup would be fabulous. I really have enjoyed the Wolfgang Puck pods - I will have to try this and see if it's any good at all (yes - I will try anything coffee related and single serve).
Via Treehugger: Wolfgang Puck Disposable Instant-hot Latte:
So California company OnTech spent 7 years and 24 million bucks to develop a coffee can filled with quicklime so that you can have a hot latte in seven minutes. Its market: “the people who want to have hot coffee in their car without going anywhere or cooking anything at home” says OnTech Prez Jonathan Weisz.

I found the latte cans at a BJs Wholesale in NJ today. I'm very disappointed that they are only available with artificial sweetener, but if you can get past that, they're pretty tasty.

I tried this product and didn't like it. It wasn't instant like I expected. It took 10 mins to make. Then when I opened it, it spilled some of it on me. The container smells bad too, and I've been hearing that it's biodegradable. It all seems suspect to me, but I'm not a coffee fanatic or anything.

We live in Alaska and bought 4 at Freddies.. They worked as represented and tasted good.. Three different flavers were tried. Yes when opening if your a clutz you will spill some.. Just like a soda can.
Ours took 6/8min. to use. It was nice to have a hot cup of brew in Alaska.

ALDI stores sell them as well..they are not wolf gang puck, but they are made by the same company "ontech" The ones in aldi's are Beaumont Gold, Double Shot or French Vanilla

Every one of the Wolfgang Puck disposable lattes I have purchased leaks around the top. The ones I bought at Aldi's (Beaumont Gold) do not. It can't be a bad "batch" because my sister bought one WP at one Cub and I bought a few at another. I bought 6. I have tried 2. Both have leaked.
