Coffee Pod Waste Bin Review from Single Serve Coffee.com

Living Comforts.com was kind enough to send along a Coffee Pod Waste Bin from Brabantia. This little gem of a Coffee Pod "Trash Can" hits the mark. It's the right size for slamming a wet pod holder on the top of it and having the pod land at the bottom. It's also stainless steel and washes up after you try and fill it to the rim with 10 or so pods. Also - the black top rim can be removed so you can put both in the dishwasher if you really want that deep clean.
Here's how we saw our problems being solved by the Coffee Pod Waste Bin:
- The first time you take a wet dripping pod and transfer it over your nice clean kitchen floor as it drips and drips and drips, and then you lob the wet pod into the trash - you know you need it.
- The first time you drop the pod holder in the kitchen trash can and then scrub the pod holder endlessly in the sink, praying your next cup of coffee won't be trash flavored - you know you need it.
- The first time you open up your Single Serve Coffee machine and find to your horror, a two day old half-wet pod locked within - you know you need it.
This little gem just solves all kinds of problems, and like any countertop kitchen waste bin, you can also put those used coffee pod wrappers, used sugar packets, and lug the waste bin over to your larger kitchen waste bin and deposit all that trash in one plop.
And we would also like to note, this works great for used K-Cups from the Keurig B50. Like it or not, you still have to walk across the kitchen to get rid of that used K-Cup - and this saves the trip every time.
Can you see we love it? If you don't know that you need this can after this review - we can't help you. If you don't get one - good luck with that dripping pod holder mess you're in right now.

Allow me to be the first to say that this must be the most ridiculous product I've ever seen... I can't believe you spent time reviewing this, when, I for one, have been patiently awaiting more pod reviews...
Well - I can honestly say I thought it was ridiculous at first too, but I really think the can is truly an amazing piece of stainless steele. I wasn't going to be even as verbose as I was in the review but the thing has saved so much drippy mess in my kitchen - now I don't know what I did before except traverse the kitchen constantly.
I'm not so sure that I personally need it as my kitchen is very small and the garbage can is close enough to my Bunn. However, I can see it being very useful for the person that has their garbage can and pod brewer at the opposite ends of a large kitchen. Never would have thought that such an item existed - interesting find!
