Review: Archer Farms French Vanilla Coffee Pods
Target has their own in house brand of food items called Archer Farms. They've put out chips, pretzels, spices, and now coffee pods! Target tried earlier in the year to do a Juan Valdez brewer, but settled on going the pod route with the Archer Farms in house brand.
The Archer Farms pods are 10g pods from what I can tell. They fill up the Bunn My Cafe brewer pod holder quite nicely. Archer Farms pods come boxed in a sleeve of 16 individually wrapped pods. I really like the packaging. It's simple, clean, and overall easy to read. There is a little scale to tell you how dark or how mild the roast is. This style box is becoming the standard coffee pod dispenser.
Archer Farms French Vanilla Coffee Impressions
The French Vanilla Coffee pods are a mild roast. That being said, the flavor and nose from the coffee brewed is quite strong. We stuck with an 8 oz cup of coffee brewed with the Bunn My Cafe. One thing I've been noticing, watch when you brew (with the Bunn especially) how long you get a strong extraction of the coffee.
What is a strong extraction? Well you can notice with the Bunn how long the coffee stream pouring into the cup stays dark. In the case of the Archer Farms French Vanilla coffee pods, it's about less than half the brew time. So if you want a stronger flavor, hit the coffee brewing button again on the Bunn or even the Senseo so you don't add more water and just water down the entire cup of coffee.
We really like the flavor of the French Vanilla coffee pods from Archer farms. There's nothing bold or daring here, but it's solid cup of single serve coffee. We like the texture, and with a little control over the extraction we've gotten a nice cup of French Vanilla coffee every time from the Archer Farms coffee pods. Great stuff.
We are giving the Archer Farms French Vanilla Coffee Pods a solid 3 out of 5 pods.

I went in search of a new coffee pod for my Black and Decker Home Cafe, and my search led me to the Archer Farms French Vanilla coffee pods. Not only are they cheaper than the "name brand" pods, only $3.99 a box, they yield a better cup of coffee. Its a nice mild coffee with great vanilla flavor. I used the 9oz option on my machine, and it was still plenty strong enough for my taste. They also have a breakfast blend that I will try next. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone who likes flavored coffee.
