Single Serve Coffee.com Visits Cool Beans Coffee Pods

Coolbean Logo Peter J. Guildner of Cool Beans Pods asked us to visit to see how coffee pods were made at Cool Beans Pods. We were very excited to visit Peter, as Cool Beans Pods has been in the coffee pod market just about the same time the single serve coffee market exploded last year and we've really enjoyed all the coffee pods from Cool Beans.

We arrived in Rocky Hill, CT early afternoon just as the heat was in full force and drinking coffee seemed like a rather hot thing to do. Cool Beans is located in a large office park with facilities in a rather large and very cool beans warehouse. Peter greeted us and gave us a little tour around the Cool Beans coffee pod making area.

Cool Beans Pods is a family operated business with Peter & his Dad running the show. Not only does Cool Beans make coffee pods, but they also serve the office coffee market with Keurig, Bunn My Cafe, and others.

Cool Beans has a really super cool coffee pod making machine from Rossi. The machine sucks coffee up from coffee barrels of fresh roasted coffee beans and then grinds them to the perfect grind and wraps and packages them up. Peter experimented with many different size and style of pods before landing on the Cool Beans "Home Style" coffee pods you make coffee from today.

Peter then showed us all the bells and whistles of the machine from the grind, to the label maker, to storing all the settings on the machine so you get the same perfect coffee pod each time. They have a list of the 20+ coffee roasts and resulting coffee pods they make from the machine for all the Cool Beans coffee pods.

We sampled some Sumatra, French Roast, and other coffee and again I have to say I love the Cool Beans pods. They make great coffee and Peter is really into the Bunn My Cafe as his coffee pod brewer of choice.

We wrapped up the day going over all the pods and of course getting a few sample packs to bring home so we could review some more flavors. We want to thank Peter & his Dad for hosting us and giving us a tour of Cool Beans Pods.

I have tried all the pods from all of the pod makers tested on Single Serve Coffee.com. I have found only the Baronet Coffee pods to be truely high end gourmet cup of coffee. I use a Mr. Coffee Pod brewer and I've tried the Bunn My Cafe, the Baronet pods produce the same results each and every time.
