Krups KP1010 Home Cafe Pod Brewer Available at Amazon.com
Looks like the new Krups Home Cafe Coffee Pod Brewer is available at Amazon.com. It's priced at $130 and available from a ZShops seller. The price seems in line with expectations it would be more in the Keurig B50 price range. We will be receiving the Krups Home Cafe Coffee Pod Brewer to review soon and should have a run down on how it's changed from earlier Home Cafe offerings.
"Krups expertise in coffee brewing is combined with the convenience of Home Cafe coffee pods to produce a consistent, custom brewed cup of hot coffee in less than a minute. No coffee mess, no unused coffee down the drain, just perfect pressure-brewed coffeehouse taste on demand."
Update: Single Serve Coffee.com reader Brenner writes in:
"It also appears that the Krups KP1010 Home Cafe is available at LivingInComfort.com for $99.77"
I'm eager to see a review of this when it's released. Krups is a trusted name and comes in cheaper than the Bunn My Cafe. It might be a viable alternative to the low-end junk that is coming out with the Home Cafe label currently..

What kind of pods does it use? Senseo and the third party pods of that size? (62mm?)

It will be in the 62mm range and take all Senseo & Third party pods to my knowledge.

yes, I'm sure they have to take the standard size that all Home Cafe models do..

When I went to www.livingcomfort.com I didn't see the Krups Home Cafe Brewer right away so here's the link, http://www.livingincomfort.com/krhocacopodb.html
the Amazon offer mentioned is from a seller so it's probably not as cheap as it should be.

That's what I was thinking. Amazon 3rd party sellers aren't usually the greatest deals. If it's $130 now, we should start seeing it at a better price elsewhere unless demand gets high and they can't supply enough product..

I just bought a Black and Decker unit and 6 packages of pods from a local grocery store. Unfortunately the unit did not work properly, the water temperature was very low and all the dispensing settings only produced about 3 to 4 ounces of coffee per cycle. What junk!
Please, if anyone can tell me the BEST single serve machine out there I would love to hear it. I love the concept and want to buy one machine and enjoy it everyday. Lets hear it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!

Steven,
Check the new forums we have.. I detailed my experience with the Black and Decker.. I expect the Krups to be a considerably nicer unit, but I've not seen one first hand since they're not out yet. I feel that the current best is the Bunn My Cafe from reviews I've read. My personal experience is that the Bunn is 100 times better than the B&D units..

I expect this to hopefully be much better than the B&D Home Cafe - we will know next week.

Many thanks for the advice Jeffery! Bunn it is! I am looking forward to it! Cheers.

hi, i bought this machine 6 weeks ago. it is supposed to be healthier to drink coffee that was made under high pressure so i got this machine. it worked great for the first 4-5 weeks and the coffee tasted wonderful. it does not work anymore now. the multiple features stoped working and it blew out a lot of hot steam around the top. i ended up returning it. i am using my bunn again...the one that has worked now for years and makes great coffee each and every time.
