I thought I add to this. I haven't found the Jacobs brand pods yet in the US, but I did find the Dallmayr Prodomo brand sold in the US. Dallmayr is also a very good everyday coffee I grew up with, along with Jacobs and Eduscho and Tschibo.
The Dallmayr pods are available at
germandeli is located outside of Dallas I believe. Haven't tried them yet myself, but will once I order other items there. They have 2 kind now. Maybe they will follow with the Jacobs and the other brands. According to german sites I read about the Dallmayr, they fit the Senseo and have 7 gr in each pod.
Turns out that Jacobs is actually a Kraft Foods DE brand... if that helps any! ;)
I am Anne, the person that told singleservecoffee.com about Jacobs Coffe pods.
I tried all the pods that are available here in my local area, like Senseo, Java, Maxwell, Folgers and Millstone, but I always missed the good, strong taste of coffe from Germany, I mean coffee that really gives you the feeling it wakes you up, you know what I mean? I walways thought Amercian coffee is thin and tasteless, until a very good friend told me about these Jacobs pods. I was sceptical if they would fit my machine, so she mailed me a pack and I can only say: they fit and the coffee is simply what I missed for years!
If anyone has connections to Germany - ask your friends or family members to send you these pods - no regrets - promise!
Jacobs (AKA Kraft Foods) or as they are branded in the UK, Kenco www.kencocoffeepods.com. They were designed for the Petra Padisimo machine www.padissima.de which uses a 59mm pod. They also say there pods can be used in espresso machines, but really the grind is a little course to make good espresso.
