Review: Starbucks Coffee Pods for Senseo & Home Cafe from Single Serve Coffee

Premium Pods.com sent us their Starbucks House Blend coffee pods for Senseo, Home Cafe, and other 62 mm single serve coffee brewers to review. Premium Pods.com doesn't make coffee pods, but resells only the best coffee pods they can find.
We have to say we are still wondering where these pods come from given Starbucks itself doesn't sell coffee pods yet (except for espresso pods). All that being said, we were excited to finally try some Starbucks coffee packed into a coffee pod for our single serve coffee brewer.
Update: It looks like Premium Pods.com as either pulled the Starbucks Coffee pods or run out of them. They are no longer available on their web site. We'll keep you posted if we find out anything more
We fired up the Grindmaster Pod Brewer we are currently testing. We stuck with a 6 oz setting on the Grindmaster with the darker setting (there's a dial where you can pick the level of coffee intensity you want). The Grindmaster pre-saturates the coffee pod for a better extraction, and then brews up a cup of 6 oz of coffee. We've found the 6 oz size to have the right amount of extraction to water ratio for our tasting habits. We then sampled the coffee with and without cream and sugar.
Both were good. We found the Starbucks House Blend coffee to be well - Starbucks coffee. We aren't big fans of Starbucks coffee but we aren't non-fans either.
Starbucks describes it as:
"A wonderful, straightforward blend of Latin American coffees. The bright flavor is tempered with a round smoothness and ends with a clean finish."
The House Blend is as described - straightforward and pretty typical American coffee and not as good as some of the other Starbucks coffees we would have preferred in a coffee pod like their Sumatra or French Roast. The Starbucks House blend coffee pods are fresh, the coffee is decent, and if you want a Starbucks coffee pod then we don't know anywhere else to get one.
We'll give the Starbucks House Blend coffee 3 out of 5 coffee pods. It's not stellar but it's not bad and if you want Starbucks coffee - this may be for you.
