Review: Cafepods Buzz Coffee Pods for Senseo, Home Cafe, & Other Single Serve Coffee Makers

Review from Single Serve Coffee.com - Coffee Pod ReviewsImg 2425Cafepods is back in the US with a dedicated US store and we're pretty excited. It's been nearly 2 years since we've had many of the blends that we started our single serve coffee journey on. We think back foundly to our original reviews on their Italian roast coffee pods and wonder where all that time went.

We're very excited to have a steady supply of their Buzz coffee pods. Buzz offers a rich crema and more caffiene than their italian blend that we reviewed so long ago. It has a very snappy taste, with a hint of robusta and a very precise flavor that lingers on the sides of the tongue.

These coffee pods will work in your Senseo, Bunn My Cafe, Krups Home Cafe, and simplehuman single serve coffee pod brewers. One pod can be used for 1 STRONG cup or 2 coffee pods can be used to brew two strong cups.

They come packed two pods to a bag, so you're getting a whopping 16.4 grams of coffee in each pack. We recommend pre-wetting your pods for optimal extraction and going one at a time for Senseo, Bunn My Cafe, and others. Though we were able to get 2 - 8 gram pods in a Bunn Cafe, we did get a big spill back into the front of the pod holder, and the coffee was perfectly fine at 4-5 ozs with one 8 gram pod at a time.

If you're concerned about which pod size to buy for your machine, you can always consult their extensive machine guide.

Cafepods Buzz Coffee Pod Impressions

Img 2430Img 2432We really like the strong italian coffee taste and the bite on the tongue after several sips. This is a very strong cup of coffee at 4-5 oz with one pod in the Bunn My Cafe. We like the coffee equally from the Senseo, but overall prefer the Bunn. We also did a round of coffee in the new Grindmaster brewer and thought it did a good job as well.

We think you'll like the Buzz coffee if you like a little bite in your coffee. It's very appealing to people who like a little cream and sugar on top of the coffee, or like to sip a coffee as it cools down into that perfect temperature range when drinking black.

Purchasing Pods from Cafepods US Web Store

Buying 200 pods and getting the free shipping will run you roughly $108 from the UK and putting the price per pod ~$.50 cents per pod - not bad for super fresh pods you can't get anywhere else.

Img 2433Conclusions

We really like the coffee pods from Cafepods. Not only is the Buzz great, but we think some of the other coffee flavors including the Brazil Santos is quite good. We recommend trying out one of their larger sampler packs if you want a taste of everything and then put in a larger order once you've found the coffee pods you like.

A solid 4 out of 5. Great coffee pods that work in a variety of machines and also have great flavor.
