Glow Cap - The illuminated Lid for Standard Disposable Coffee Cups

The Glow Cap was created to highlight the sip hole of a beverage lid, or for single serve coffee drinkers - a coffee cup lid! We're not sure how much glow you'd get in the city (as we're in Boston), but we can remember days of growing up in rural Maine where this might come in handy. We also think this might be a killer addition to movie drink tops, as we are always wondering where the straw end or drink hole is in a darkened movie.
We're not sure when you'll see glow caps, as the site seems to be from the inventor of the Glow Cap - Brandi Samuels. Maybe after a few rounds around the blogosphere, they'll get their wish and Glow Caps will start appearing in a dark place near you.
From the site:
Traveling between dusk and dawn means spending a good portion of time in dimly lit situations. Beverage consumption during such times can be difficult with disposable containers. The sip hole of a beverage cup lid is small and can become hard to find in the dark. Those trying to consume coffee, tea, or other hot beverages can easily spill the drink, burning themselves if incorrectly guessing the location of the sip hole. This can be a frustrating and annoying experience for consumers. The Glow Cap provides the perfect solution to this problem.

What a great idea! So simple and obvious I cannot believe it hasn't been done before. With the competition for coffee drinkers this is just the kind of little extra that would make me choose store a over store b. I bet this catches on and becomes the only cap people expect to see. Good luck with this.
