Review: Seattle's Best T Discs for Tassimo - Henry's and Breakfast Blend Reviews
We've all been waiting for a cup of single serve coffee from Starbucks, but we think we can definitely settle for Tassimo T Discs from Seattle's Best Coffee. Starbucks may own Seattle's Best, but the coffees are always a bit different. We love the stronger blends we can often find at Seattle's Best, and they also have that crazy aroma of Seattle in the coffee - rich, a bit darker, and always interesting.
About the Blends:
- Seattle's Best Coffee Breakfast Blend: Roasted to a deep dark brown, this coffee is medium-bodied and intense with a rich flavor and roasty sweetness and an elegant finish. This blend says, "Ready, set, go!". Packed 16 T DISCS per package. $7.99 per package.
- Seattle's Best Coffee® Henry's Blend® - Nutty flavor, hearty aroma and a complex, rich flavor are the essence of this medium-to full-bodied blend. It's super-smooth with a long lingering finish. Packed 16 T DISCS per Package. Price $7.99.
What did we really think about these two new blends? What did they taste like? Are they as good as a cup of Seattle's Best coffee right at the coffee shop?
We've been drinking these Tassimo T Discs from Seattle's Best Coffee over the past week and have to say - we're impressed.! Seattle's Best Coffee Breakfast Blend and Henry's Blend are both excellent cups of coffee and just what Tassimo needed. Unlike other blends the Tassimo currently offers, these two T Disc coffees exude the aroma, taste, and style you get when drinking a cup of coffee at a Seattle's Best store.
Over the two blends, we like the Henry's Blend a little more. It's got that bold nutty flavor they claim, and it also has the strong barista aroma you get when you walk through the coffee shop door at Seattle's Best. Both have great finishes, but the Henry's Blend stays on the tongue a bit longer.
What we like about both blends is how they start out with a strong aroma, a clean bold taste, and then have a lingering finish. The Breakfast Blend T Discs are definitely a bit easier to drink in multiple cup sittings, but we could easily drink 2-3 cups of the Henry's Blend in a row as well.
Since these are pre-measured from the barcode on the Tassimo T Disc, expect an 8 oz cup of coffee from both blends. If that's still too strong, you can always add a bit more water by holding the brew button. We recommend the standard 8 oz cup, and we thought the Henry's Blend got a bit more friendly to lighter coffee drinkers with a little cream and sugar.
We can't but recommend the Seattle's Best Henry's and Breakfast blend Tassimo T Discs to anyone who owns a Tassimo. Give them a try - you'll be instantly transported to a Seattle's Best coffee house right in your own kitchen.
Seattle's Best T Discs are available at Target and online at TassimoDirect.com. As more online retailers carry the T Discs we'll let you know.
