Review: Green Mountain Fair Trade Pumpkin Spice K Cups for Keurig

Review from Single Serve Coffee.com - Coffee Pod ReviewsImg 4941

Halloween and the holidays are upon us, and that means spicy flavor filled Fall autumnal coffees. This time of year, we long for apple cider, Fall leaves, and most of all Fall pies. We're always excited to get our first pumpkin pie, or any type of pumpkin cookie, donut (yes donut), and most of all the pumpkin spiced coffee that comes out each Fall from Green Mountain and other coffee roasters. Green Mountain Coffee produces seasonal K Cup blends, and Pumpkin Spice is always in our Keurig this time of year.

The Green Mountain Pumpkin Spice is also Fair Trade certified, meaning you'll be doing your part to keep coffee growers in business wherever Green Mountain sources the coffees for this blend. The Fair Trade Pumpkin Spice K Cups will work in your Keurig Elite B40 Brewer, Keurig B50, Keurig Special Edition Ultra Elite B60, and the Keurig B70 Brewer. How good is this Autumnal coffee we've come to drink each year?

Green Mountain claims:

Fragranced with cinnamon and pumpkin pie spices, Pumpkin Spice coffee is a local favorite, especially lightened with cream and served with (or for) dessert.

This coffee is very light and very flavored. Thought we've enjoyed lots of Pumpkin Spice K Cups (read our Pumpkin Madness review from last year), we've come to really enjoy this coffee over many of the others. We like how much the coffee gets spicier and sweeter as you add a little cream and sugar. We also like the finish. It's got a bit of a bite to it, and we often want to continue the wonderful flavor in our mouth after the first single serve coffee cup each morning. And that's another good point, we often have this coffee not with desert in the evening, but we have it in the morning as more of a tasty breakfast blend with a kick.

  • Aroma - 9 - you can smell grandma baking the pie
  • Acidity - 8 - no real acid but a bit of a bite
  • Body - 7 - it's very light to drink with no cream and sugar
  • Flavor - 8 - delicious with cream and sugar - without - it's okay
  • Mouth Feel - 9 - lingers and is delicious
  • Coffee Drinker - Light to Medium roast coffee drinker

Overall Rating: 86 - Good

This is a very yummy and delicious coffee we think you'll enjoy in the cooler weather. We just with it was around all year long.

I wait for Fall for the Pumpkin Spice K-cups. And, yes, everyone and their brother now has pumkin spice coffee and drinks, but Green Mountain had it first (I think) and it is the best (i'm sure).
This year, there was a pleasant surprise - the pumkin spice now also comes in decaf. As one of those who really has to limit the coffee after about 3:00 pm, this is a real treat. For after dinner with or without dessert, or a warm bedtime drink, the pumpkin spice decaf is perfect.
