Review: Starbucks House Blend T Discs for Tassimo

Review from Single Serve - Coffee Pod Reviews

Starbucks coffee is finally available for the Tassimo Hot Beverage System. We've been drinking the four new T Disc coffee blends over the past week, and thought we'd start with the Starbucks House Blend coffee T Discs. We're pretty big fans of Starbucks on the go, so we're pretty familiar with just about any of their coffees, and we've always enjoyed the House Blend and Sumatra blend coffees they've made over the past years.

The Starbucks House Blend coffee T Discs are supposed to taste just like the Starbucks House Blend coffee you'd make in your drip coffee maker or pick up at Starbucks. How good is it? Is it even close to being as good as coffee at Starbucks or coffee produced in a drip coffee maker?

We simply can't tell a big difference between coffee made from our drip coffee maker, the House Blend served at Starbucks, and the coffee produced from the Starbucks House Blend T Discs for Tassimo. This is one of the top coffees we've had for Tassimo, and we can safely say because of the amount of coffee inside the giant T Disc it had better be good. Okay - we need to say it again - this is good coffee.

The Starbucks T Discs are very large and filled to the brim with
Starbucks House Blend coffee.

Also if you like Starbucks coffees, Tassimo also makes Seattle's Best T Discs for Tassimo (Seattle's Best is owned by Starbucks).

  • Aroma - 9 - just like in the coffee house
  • Acidity - 8 - a little more acid than we like all the time but good
  • Body - 8 - medium body with a good bite
  • Flavor - 9 - classic Starbucks roast - vibrant and rich
  • Mouth Feel - 8 - medium in stature
  • Coffee Drinker - Medium to dark roast coffee drinker

Overall Rating: 85 - Good

A rich interesting cup of Starbucks House Blend coffee.

We highly recommend getting some Starbucks coffee T Discs for your Tassimo Hot Beverage system. These T Discs will work in your TA1400 and TA1200 hot beverage systems.
