Review: Starbucks Africa Kitamu T Discs for Tassimo

We've had a chance to sample even more of the Starbucks T Discs for the Tassimo Hot Beverage System. We've been really enjoying the four new T Disc coffee blends, and one of the four that we think leads the pack is the Africa Kitamu. Not only is the Africa Kitamu dark and interesting coffee, it has one of the sweetest flavors we've had in a non-flavored coffee in quite some time.

What we really like about this coffee is the vibrant floral and caramel like notes as well. Unlike the Starbucks House Blend T Discs for Tassimo, the Kitamu is very balanced and even when quite cool - the flavors continue to deliver.

The Africa Kitamu T Disc from Starbucks

We think the Africa Kitamu is simply delicious. If you're a dark or medium roast coffee drinker, and like your east Africa coffees a bit on the syrupy/swee/floral side, you're going to love this blend.

Brewing up a cup of the Africa Kitamu

Aroma - 8 - nothing great here - it's in the flavor
Acidity - 9 - intense but pairs well with the vibrant flavor
Body - 9 - medium to dark body with bite
Flavor - 10 - rich and caramel like - with a floral kick
Mouth Feel - 8 - dark in feel - very spicy over the entire tongue
Coffee Drinker - Medium to dark roast coffee drinker

Overall Rating: 89 - Good

Hello, If you have a Tassimo machine let me know I have all the different t-discs for free. It was given to me and I am moving to Alaska can't take all this stuff. If you can give a donation that would be nice. Thanks!
