Bosch Tassimo Video - See the New Tassimo in Action

Check out this video of the Bosch Tassimo hot beverage system coming out in September. The Bosch Tassimo hot beverage system appears to be uber quiet, have hot water on demand (thus more eco-friendly), and there will be two models as stated earlier with the higher end model being a bit more quiet and coming with a water filter. We love the LED green for done, and the amber LED to put in another T Disc for making a cappuccino. Looks like Kraft and Bosh are on their way to have an amazing new single serve coffee maker re-appear this Fall.

Tassimo's are too environmentally unfriendly for me. Throwing away a plastic puck every time I make a cup of coffee is irresponsible in this day and age. With pods, other than the foil wrapper, they're just paper and coffee. Completely bio-degradable.

This point has been brought up in the official forums on tassimodirect.com and the same complaint could be directed towards Keurig would it not be for their "My K-Cup" filter. Several users have been requesting that Kraft introduce a device similar to Keurig's re-usable filter which would allow individuals to brew their own choice of grind coffee in a re-usable T-Disc. Imagine being able to brew a quick cup of Tim Hortons or Dunkin Donuts like Keurig users can currently do? (Would give me a reason to start clearing out the coffee in my fridge... heheh) I'm actually surprised Kraft hasn't decided to try doing this yet in an effort to compete with Keurig on that front. Would seem logically possible to make a Starbucks-sized T-Disc out of a hard plastic, introduce a permanent mesh filter inside it and secure a plastic lid via some form of snaps or latching mechanism (which would incorporate a rubber leak-proof gasket) to prevent the disc from exploding. There's certainly enough forum users asking for this and I'm sure the device would sell if Kraft ever released it to market, so maybe we'll see something in the next year or so after the new Bosch models are released.
