Review: Fair Trade Organic French Coffee Pods from Baronet Coffee

We received a sleeve of the Baronet's latest coffee pod - Fair Trade Organic French, and we've been drinking this coffee over the past "hot" weekend, both iced and hot. This blend of specialty Fair Trade Organic coffees is dark roasted, and has a smoky flavor with a rich finish. It's also Fair Trade which makes this coffee both sustainable and environmentally friendly.
We fired up our Bunn My Cafe, and found the coffee produced from these coffee pods surprisingly good.

We set the Bunn My Cafe on the 7 oz setting, and used the coffee setting for this review.
- Aroma - 7 - Very mellow and sweet
- Acidity - 9 - No acid with little bite
- Body - 8 - Rich and interesting - but not as rich as many french roasts
- Flavor - 9 - Very round and complex
- Mouth Feel - 7 - Average - better with a little cream and sugar to perk it up
- Hot Beverage Drinker - This is more of a medium roast coffee
Overall Rating: 85 - Good
We like the smoky finish, but found it to be lighter than expected. Overall, the Fair Trade Organic French roast coffee pods produce excellent iced and hot coffee, as we spent the weekend in the afternoons sipping iced versus hot. We really enjoyed how mellow the bite was on this French Roast, and think most medium coffee drinkers will really enjoy these coffee pods.
The Baronet Coffee Fair Trade French Organic coffee pods will work in Senseo, Bunn My Cafe, Melitta One:One, simplehuman, Krups 1010 , GPOD, Home Cafe, Cuisinart SS-1 Cup-O-Matic, Melitta MES5B Javapod, and other single serve coffee pod makers.
