I too have had a nightmarish experience with "tassimo.com". The piercing unit for my Bosch machine failed (what a huge mess - the coffee disc literally exploded). I tried ordering online, adding several other items to get the free shipping. When done w/my order, the website would not allow me to complete it online, so I called the "customer service" number and after about 30 minutes, finally got my order placed. This was around Dec 1, 2009. On 12/21/09, I called customer service (again, forever on hold) and was assured by "Chris" that my order shipped on 12/8/09, and would surely be there anytime now! On 12/29, after still no order, I sent an email to customer service, to which I received an automated reply that I would receive a response within 12 hours. Four days later, I received an email that part of my order was unavailable and my entire order would ship when this "unavailable" item became available. I sent another email, requesting my issue be escalated to a supervisor (this was around Jan 6th). Last night (1/11/10), I received a phone call advising that it was my piercing unit that was unavailable. No idea when it would be available, but my order would ship as soon as it became available. I promptly cancelled my order and will be going back to using my espresso machine, which, while it may be a bit more difficult to use, has never failed me and makes a wonderful Latte!

I've had my Bosch Tassimo for about 3 months now and my piercing unit gasket is falling apart. I called customer service and ordered directly from them 2 days ago. I hope I get the right one too. I think they should be replacing these for free. Since I did my research after I ordered the piercing unit I didn't realize all the people out there having the same problem. I plan on calling customer service today and complain. let's see what Happens. I usually can get results.

I am finding it extremely difficult to find a new piercing unit for the Bosch Tassimo. Although they are listed on the Tassimo site I have placed two orders for a number of units and each time end up with the piercing unit for the Braun. I have now placed a third order and hope it will be the correct part. If not I have just wasted $139.

I would also add that Tassimo always uses the static based packing peanuts. Takes a good bit of cleaning up after one of their deliveries to say nothing of the environmental impact.
