Review: Tassimo Pro T65 CUL Single Serve Coffee Maker and Hot Beverage System

Review Single Serve Coffee tassimo_pro_review_shot.jpg

We've been fortunate enough here at Single Serve Coffee to test and review every single serve coffee maker for consumers, but we've often not tested many of the professional offerings for small business. We're pleased to say the folks over at Tassimo sent us the Tassimo Pro T65 CUL Single Serve Coffee Maker and Hot Beverage system to review.

That being said we think reading our reviews of the consumer models will give you the larger background on the machine, system, and how it works, along with a familiarity of the features the Pro models use as well.

Tassimo Professional Brewer Lineup

The Tassimo Professional line of brewers include the T65 CUL and the T-300. The T65 is designed for use with small office and requires the coffee drinker to dispose of each T-Disc as they brew cups of coffee, where as the T300 is designed for a larger office with a 20 T-Disc bin capacity. The T65 is also not able to be plumbed, but the T300 Tassimo professional brewer is.

Lots of really delicious coffee and teas are available.

Hot Beverages and Coffees Available for the Tassimo Professional Line

There is a large variety of Tassimo hot beverages and coffees available for the Tassimo Professional line, but you won't be able to get Starbuck's or Seattle's best T-Discs. The consumer T-discs will not work in the professional brewer, but if you like lattes, cappuccinos, and very good coffee, then this won't be an issue for your office. The lineup below has just about every office coffee drinker's needs met, and we really like some of the espresso and flavored coffees below.

Hot Tea

  • Twinnings Green Tea
  • Twinnings Earl Grey Tea
  • Twinnings English Breakfast Tea

Hot Chocolate

Brewing a Cup with the Tasssimo Profesional CUL T65

Making a cup of coffee of coffee is very easy. After brewer setup you'll simply need to pick the coffee of your choice, and place the T-Disc in the Tassimo. The Tassimo system uses a bar code scanner to tell what type of hot beverage it's making, and then brews the coffee accordingly. Check out the video below of brewing a cup of Tassimo coffee.

Brew time is just over 1.5 minutes. This is a little longer than we'd like in an office coffee environment, but the coffee produced was excellent. Given the results, the brew time is probably not going to bother many coffee drinkers. Brew time of the teas, hot chocolate, and others were similar in length.

The Tassimo Difference

As we stated above, the Tassimo uses a bar code to identify the beverage and to then brew it perfectly. This one advantage allows the system to not only make coffee or tea, cappuccinos, lattes, and other hot beverages including hot chocolate. Each T-Disc is assigned a unique bar code to tell the machine what to do, and the T-Disc itself has different plastic enclosure to produce different brewing results. It's also important to note the milk drinks use real liquid shelf stable milk that makes a very buttery wonderful latte or cappuccino.
