Green Mountain Discontinues All Kona Coffee Keurig K-Cups

Bummer. According to a letter received from Green Mountain Coffee Roasters over at Shoffee.com, all Kona Coffees and Kona coffee blends from Green Mountain Coffee, Timothy's World Coffee, Coffee People and Tully's Coffee on the (below) list have been discontinued.
Here is the full list of Keurig K-Cups affected by these changes:
- Green Mountain 10% Kona Blend Keurig K-Cups
- Tully's Kona Blend Keurig K-Cups
- Coffee People Kona Blend Island Style Keurig K-Cups
- Timothy's Kona Blend Keurig K-Cups
Why discontinue? Well the price of Kona coffee is going up up up and the Kona coffee crop yields are down 50% due to natural crop cycles and and unusually dry weather. We'll keep you posted on any updates on Kona K-Cup coffees and if they'll reappear next year.

Online retailers are now using the "supply & demand" approach and are gouging customers on Kona K-Cups. For example, SingleCup.ca used to sell 24-packs of the Kona blends for about $16 CAD. Now they've jacked the price to $20 CAD due to "limited supplies". Be forewarned... You might still be able to get your fave Kona blend, but you're going to pay a bit more for it.
I asked Green Mountain for clarification on their Facebook page. I asked if all 4 varieties of Kona are going away. Their response was "With a few exceptions (Tully's Kona in grocery), yes."
Upon my initial query, I got a similar response to your post "As you may know, the coffee crop yields from Kona are down 50% due to natural crop cycles and unusually dry weather. This shortage has forced us and coffee roasters across the country to make changes to Kona offerings, which, in our case, means discontinuing 10% Kona Blend."
