Dunkin' Donuts Flavor Radio Subliminal Coffee Advertising
Here's one for the interesting Single Serve Coffee books - Dunkin' Donuts is experimenting with subliminal coffee advertising in the form of coffee aroma being blasted around from an coffee scented air freshner on bus. At key points during the ride, the air freshener will spill out the fragrance, coupled with a jingle for Dunkin' Donuts.
The company claims visitors to its stores near bus stops rose 16% during the campaign, and overall coffee sales jumped by 29%. Now if you're worried this is happening here in the US - it's only been used in Seoul, Korea, and it was dubbed "Flavor Radio".
