TASSIMO T47 Single Cup Home Brewing System

Tassimo T47

Single Serve Coffee reader Alan has written in with news of the TASSIMO T47 Single Cup Home Brewing System. The Tassimo T47 appears to be a Target exclusive in the US, and costs $139.99. It does feature the LCD display and uses Tassimo's barcode technology to brew a perfect single serve hot beverage every time.

  • Removable cup stand fits most cups, (travel) mugs and glasses.
  • Capacity (volume): 47.0 Oz.
  • Custom Brew Strength
  • Cord Storage
  • Indicator Lights,
  • Removable Drip Tray
  • Water Level Window
  • Removable Water Reservoir
  • LCD Display
  • Plastic Metal Finish:
  • Chrome Finish: Glossy
  • Auto Standby Mode
  • LService Disc
  • Drip Tray

We'd love to hear your thoughts and impressions for those of you that own a T47 or might get one for the holidays. So far we've been unable to find anything on the Tassimo web site or our old standby of YouTube.

Update:From Alan, "I saw that part too and I would have to say that it's a misprint in their description. I haven't actually seen it operate but I did play with the floor model a bit at the Target by my work. The display looks a lot like the one used in the T20." We thought the LCD looked like it was missing and that's the case.

we just bought the t47 after returning our 3rd machine of the t55. Both machines will brew 1/3 of the amount of coffee indicate the coffee is done (shows a solid yellow light) and the lid locks up for at least 30+ minutes. We have tried unplugging it turning the switch to off but nothing helps.

This is our 4th machine now that does this and is clearly a flaw of the design. Any ideas whats going on. Every time I call Tassimo they haven't heard of it. I have even video taped it but they are not interested in looking at it.

All we want to a cup of coffee! We are spending more money on buying the disc and not getting anything out of them. Starbucks might be cheaper at this point.

Sunny – Have you tried any other discs yet? We don’t have the Cadbury hot chocolate around here but I think it’s like the Milka discs we have. Since it is a 2 disc drink it relies on both discs to fill the cup. The Milka is kinda like a chococcino where it uses a small chocolate disc to make a concentrated hot chocolate then finishes up with a frothed milk disc. So it may not be you or the machine but the particular drink. Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll be glad to try and help.

Just got the Tassimo t47 today. Currently tryng for the last hour or so to find ANYTHING about it for trouble shooting.

We descaled it.

Then we excitedly put in our Cadbury Hot Chocolate disc.

I have done this 3 times now and have not gotten more then an inch, if that... of water in my cup
Could be me. About to call help line :)
