Single Serve Soup K-Cups Coming - Campbell's Fresh Brewed Soup

Campbell Soup K Cups

Single serve soup K-Cups are coming - Campbell's Fresh-Brewed Soup will offer Keurig K-Cup brewer owners a hot cup of soup from their coffee brewer. When we first saw the press release we thought it might be April 1st (remember this joke from last year?), but it's not April 1st and yes soup in a K-Cup is coming.

The agreement brings the number one single serve coffee maker and the number one soup maker together to bring you Campbell's Fresh-Brewed Soup. The convenient snack will be prepared at the touch of a button, and a mini-meal from a K-Cup will be produced.

Campbell's Fresh-Brewed Soup uses proprietary Keurig manufacturing expertise to seal in the ingredients' peak flavor, and this is in keeping with everything being on Keurig's fresh brewed platform. Campbell's Fresh-Brewed Soup will deliver a flavorful hot broth through the ease and convenience of the Keurig brewing system.

Campbell's Fresh-Brewed Soup consists of a broth K-Cups, and an included packet of dry pasta and vegetable blend garnish. Consumers simply brew a broth K-Cup pack over this garnish to create a satisfying snack in minutes.

The companies expect to launch three varieties of the new soup, including Homestyle Chicken Broth & Noodle, in 2014. They also expect Campbell's Fresh-Brewed Soup will be offered in the same aisles and retail sections of stores where Keurig Brewed K-CupĀ® pack varieties are sold.

Will 2014 wil be the year of single serve soup? We think it might be. With more mini-meals coming from single serve soup K-Cups and hot coffee right after to wash it down, perhaps Keurig owners will finally settle in to only surviving off of what Keurig can provide in a K-Cup. We know we can hear whining kids wanting a cup of chicken noodle soup and being able to get it in a few minutes.

Um, nasty! The last thing I want in my coffee is soup residue. It seems like it would make a lot more sense to just get an electric kettle if you can't wait for water to boil on the stove in order to make powdered soup.
