Keurig 2.0 Questions and Answers from Keurig Green Mountain

We recently visited the Burlington, MA Keurig retail store, and since they had a ton of Keurig 2.0 ads in the store we had many questions. Keurig Green Mountain has provided us answers to all of our questions, and with the release of Keurig 2.0 just weeks away we thought we'd share some of this information to get you ready and help you pick our your Keurig 2.0 brewer.

Does Keurig Green Mountain plan to release the 2.0 brewers in Canada or will the company make the 2.0 a USA-only item like the Vue brewers?

Yes. When the Keurig 2.0 system launches this fall, it will be offered in both the U.S. and Canada.

Other than B&W and color LCD screens, what are the differences between the 3 models of 2.0 brewers? All systems offer the ability to brew both a single cup using a K-Cup pack and a carafe using the new K-Carafe pack.

Will current Vue Packs work in the 2.0 brewers?

The Keurig 2.0 system will brew both K-Cup and Vue packs that have the new Keurig 2.0 Brewing Technology. You will need to use the latest Vue® packs with the number shown in a circle at 6 o'clock on the lid. The latest packs will also have a light aqua circle at 9 o'clock on the lid.

I was so happy with my Platinum, I just bought 3 of your 2.0 500 series! One for office, one as a gift , and one for me.Great news, right?

I set it up, and started reading and noticed you've implemented DRM. While I use your cups, my mother likes her Tim Horton's, so she uses their cups. (Timothy's sucks..poor Canadian decision).

Now, I just returned over $500.00 of your products. You'd think you'd learn from SONY's problems, or Microsoft...or...well, anyone that tries to get a monopoly with DRM. But hey, good luck. You'll soon find Americans really hate DRM, and hate even more being restricted in choice. That's what happens when greed and IP lawyers take over.

I noticed you said the vue cups have a number at the 6 o'clock of the lid. Several coffee companies also produce k-cups. Will these be compatible with the 2.0 models as well?
