Keurig 2.0 DRM Freedom Clip - Use Any K-Cup You Want in Keurig 2.0

Keurig 2 FREEDOM Clip DRM

It was just a matter of time before the Keurig 2.0 DRM was broken, and it looks like in the coming weeks you'll be able to purchase Rogers Family Company OneCups / San Francisco Bay OneCups and each pack will come with a Keurig 2.0 DRM Freedom Clip which allows you to choose any K-Cup type portion pack you want in your Keurig 2.0 brewer.

As you know the new Keurig 2.0 uses an ink technology to optically read if there is an "authorized K-Cup" present before it will brew. Many "non-authorized" companies are working to add this "special ink" to the lids of their current product (as well as OneCups), but OneCup has developed a clip that easily fits into the optical hole in a Keurig 2.0 and shows this "special ink" to the brewer so that it will brew "non-authorized" k-cup type pods. This includes pre-2.0 k-cups, other "non-authorized" companies cups and of course OneCups.

Since the folks at OneCup think that freedom is essential, they have named this clip the "Freedom Clip". They'll be including this clip in every box of OneCups AND will be offering it for free on their website to everyone who wants one (no purchase necessary).

We should have one of these Freedom Clip to review soon, and we'll let you know how much freedom it gives us on our K-Cup choice.

I purchased the San Francisco Bay Gourmet Coffee Fog Chaser upc code # 7732447059. I enjoyed the coffee along with the Freedom Clip. I put it on but I had to removed it to use the Carafe coffee due to it wont brew with the clip on. As soon as I removed it the piece fell apart. Is there any way you can send me a replacement please.

Good to see this. Even though I gave up on Keurig and Green Mountain years ago, it's good to see that folks will still have their freedom. Now if they can only figure out how to make a good cup of coffee.

Eventually Corporations will learn there isn't a lock that can't be picked. Think of the profits Green Mountain would have made if they just left well enough alone instead of funding this boondoggle.

My Keurig 2.0 brewer will finally be as good as my 1.0 brewer.
