Keurig Kold Will Use Carbonation Beads in Soda Pods - Machine Costs $300
According to an article over at the Boston Glove, the Keurig Cold machines will cost around $300 or more and will be rolled out slowly over the next year and a half. The Keurig Kold counter-top machine will sell for between $299 and $369, which makes it much more than a Keurig 2.0 coffee brewer. The Keurig Kold pods will retail for $.99 to $1.29 each, which makes them also much more expensive than K-Cups and other current hot offerings or iced coffee offerings.
The machine has its own chilling mechanism, and can make six to eight drinks in a row before it needs to recharge. The Kold technology includes ‘carbonation beads’ in the pods that eliminate the need for bulky carbon dioxide canisters. Apparently the Keurig Kold carbonation beads took over 5 years to develop.

Well, as the saying goes, there's an idiot born every minute. So I guess they will probably sell a few of these.
