It looks like Home Café will have a New Cappuccino pod coming out in November. I think that this pod will be using the special pod holder included with the Home Café. I'll let you know if I can get an early set of pods to review prior to the new pod launch. Stay Tuned!
"After their first post-shuffle victory, the new Yasur tribe set off to enjoy their Reward at Home Café Vanuatu. Emotions ran high as the tribemates gathered around a collage of pictures from their respective pasts. As the Yasur tribemates showed each other their loved ones, past glories and even pets, the smell of brewing coffee permeated the makeshift hut. Enjoying coffee, croissants and juice, the Survivors tearfully read letters from home. The Reward served to "recharge the batteries" of the tribe members, even the targeted Rory, who simply exclaimed, "It's a beautiful day on Vanuatu."
In what can only be called true product marketing within a show, the Home Cafe from Black&Decker was featured on the CBS show Survivor last night.
The tribe that won the challenge (okay - watch Survivor - I'm not explaining the show here), got to take back to their camp a Home Cafe. The funny thing is - they are on a desert island much like Gilligan & the Skipper lived on. HOW ARE THEY POWERING IT??? Hehehe...it was really weird to watch half dress people having single serve coffee.
Click below to visit the Survivor 9 site...I'm sure they'll have video clips showing the Home Cafe.
"Bring a unique piece of strength and beauty into your home with this solid steel and glass coffee table. The second shelf sits 7.75 inches below the top. The multiple layers of glass not only provide additional space but create unique reflections and depth as light bounces between them. Add our Quarter Tables and End Tables to create your own unique space."
Well - at least one person gets it right at the end of the article...
"There is no accounting for taste, pay no attention to the "bad coffee' reviews. There is a pod out there for everyone's taste," writes Paul Gooding of Phoenix on Amazon.com. "This is the coffee maker of the future."
and...
"New one-cup coffee makers allow you to skip the mess and excess while brewing coffee to suit each drinker. But don't forgo your Starbucks fix just yet."
Okay - we'll admit it. There's not a great deal to review when it comes to an Extra Large Reservoir for any coffee maker, except the fact that this accessory makes sense. Buy it. If you own a Senseo and enjoy the coffee, I'm pretty sure by now you are tired of refilling it. The Extra Large Reservoir holds 10 cups of water, and fit the Senseo perfectly. I really can't think of anything else to add even water - because my reservoir is only half full after brewing 5 cups of delicious dark roast Senseo coffee.
I'm sure...SO SURE...you'll get many compliments on this coffee table, especially when you swivel out a nice cup of single serve coffee!!! :-)
"You'll get lots of compliments on this contemporary designed wedge shaped oak veneer cocktail table with its unique lift top for easy access. Both the top and bottom base have smooth rounded edges and curved legs for support. This table is also on casters and measures 42x42x17h."
Okay. I can't make heads or pods of this press release. Are they K-CUPs or PODS? Please read it and let me know what you think. I'm going to contact Green Mountain and get to the top of this.
"All four Green Mountain coffee varieties packaged in pods are Fair Trade Certified, which guarantees the small-scale farmers who grew this coffee with a fair price for their crop. The Fair Trade Certified pod offerings from Green Mountain Coffee include Breakfast Blend, French Roast, House Blend Decaf, and Colombian coffee. Currently the new pods are only available to Green Mountain Coffee OCS distributors and customers."
When I first heard about Super Automatic Espresso machines from Capresso, to say the least, I was very skeptical that a fully automatic machine would make a terrific cup of espresso. My friend Jeff Paradiso (who is very into coffee) had purchased such a machine from Capresso - well actually - he had purchased the Ultima (The only semi-automatic pump coffee/ espresso/cappuccino with automatic tamping and used coffee removal technology).
He couldn't stop talking about how easy it was, and how the machine took care of the grinds for you. At the time he purchased the machine, I was very into purchasing one, but the Senseo finally came out in the US (and hence this site), so I abandoned my Capresso desires and thought maybe in a few months Jeff's tune of Capresso dominance would end and I would see if it was worth the higher cost to buy one.
Needless to say, Jeff's love of Capresso has never ended. And after receiving the Jura-Capresso IMPRESSA E8 to review - a fully automatic version - my love has since started, grown, grown some more, and been growing ever since.
Oooh...mesquite...smoke some ribs and a nice cup of joe...
"Each mesquite coffee table is hand crafted with care to create a work of art to be cherished and enjoyed for many years in your home. The stable nature of mesquite and the rustic character of the wood, with its earthy grain and subtle imperfections, make mesquite tables a popular choice for adding rustic elegance to any southwest or spanish colonial decor."
It appears that many of the T-Discs for the Tassimo system from Kraft, will be found the dairy aisle of your local grocer. They will contain milk and other perishable items inside the T-Disc. Wow. This should make marketing them very interesting in US supermarkets - as there are no coffee products in the dairy aisle minus creamer.
"The ingenious TASSIMO Disc (T-DISC) is designed to work exclusively with the TASSIMO machine. Each T-DISC contains a precisely measured amount of coffee, tea, chocolate or concentrated milk, and is sealed to protect the precious flavors inside."
At Single Serve Coffee.com - we love to have a diversity of opinions. That being said, you can expect that if I can pass along any of the coffee makers and gadgets to other Single Serve readers or friends for their opinion - I will do it.
The folks at CoffeePodCanister.com were kind enough to send us along a Pod Canister to review. This canister fits Senseo and Home Cafe pods - so the 62mm pod type that are loose and not single packed are perfect for this coffee pod can.
Check out this little number from Europe By Net! It's from Italy - isn't almost anything coffee related and fabulous? Don't miss browsing for the "LEM" and others...good stuff!
