We are always learning something new in the Single Serve Coffee Forums - herbal coffee that tastes like a Pina Colada? Herbal coffee is something the staff is not that familiar with at Single Serve Coffee, but it does sound intriguing. What is this herbal coffee called? Teeccino.
Teeccino Caffeine-free Herbal Coffee made of a blend of herbs, grains, fruits and nuts that are roasted and ground to brew and taste just like coffee. Unlike instant coffee substitutes, Teeccino brews just like coffee in all types of coffee brewers. Teeccino comes in seven different flavors including: Vanilla Nut, Mocha, and regular Herbal Teeccino.
We'll see if we can track some Teeccino down to sample and review. Sounds interesting to the staff here at Single Serve Coffee, but we're not going giving up our precious caffeine any time soon.

We recently visited our local farmer's market and happened upon this interesting coffee -
Trung Nguyen Vietnamese Coffee. The name is pronounced "choon-win" and comes in little instant packets. The G7 so far after sampling a few packets is quite good. The taste is indeed far richer and has the full-bodied flavor that is absent from most instant coffee like you would find in a Nescafe or
coffee extract. We'll have a full review soon.
Trung Nguyen created a state of the art facility in Buon Me Thuot to process G7 3-in-1 and it has been the top Asian "white coffee" since. While not tasting quite like their brewed coffee, this is great cup of coffee to bring with you when traveling or when you don't want to brew. All you need is hot water and you can have gourmet coffee anywhere... in your hotel, at breakfast, when camping in the hills, etc. Many offices and shops offer this coffee as a perk to employees, especially if they don't want to maintain a brewing station. It's the ultimate in convenience.

So, if you haven't heard, we're giving away some Stomping Grounds Espresso Concentrate as part of our mailing list sponsorship from them. Last month, they gave a few readers some free espresso concentrate, and we continue to get more comments in from these readers on how good the stuff is. So, don't just take our word that it's good, read some other comments from readers too (Click on the names to go to their comments):
"The flavor is fabulous, rich and sweet and the fact that you can just pull it out of the cupboard when you want a treat is great." - Ramona
"I received a sample of the vanilla flavor. I thought it was very good. I especially liked it cold over ice or as a coffee smoothie." - Bruce
Stomping Grounds Espresso Concentrate is available at their website and nationnwide at Cost Plus Markets.

So a while back we heard about Stomping Grounds Espresso concentrates that come in 1 quart shelf stable containers, and thought that they might be a pretty cool way to have a quick little espresso drink. Well for the last few weeks, our sister site has been using them and has a review posted about the wide variety of ways to enjoy them.
Also, we should point out that the Stomping Grounds Marketing Chief has put up an offer for a free sample (limited time) shipped to you at your home. Check out the review for more details on how to get a free sample of Stomping Grounds Espresso concentrate.

We're always on the lookout for something new to the single serve coffee world and we think we've found it with Stomping Grounds Espresso Concentrate. Perhaps if your espresso machine is in the shop, or you are in the mood for cold espresso drinks, the makers of Oregon Chai have come up with Stomping Grounds cold espresso concentrate.
Shelf stable and ready to pour, you simply add milk, heat and drink, or if you prefer add milk, ice and drink cold; yea we like that. Probably not up to your average barista pulled espresso drink, but an alternative worth a try. You can't beat the convenience. They come in four flavors: Mocha, Espresso, Caramel, and Vanilla.

A reader sent in some information on a new type of single serve coffee from the New Orleans Coffee Company - Coolbrew. It's not made from pods, but from coffee concentrate. Since it's Summer and extremely hot here in the Northeast, we welcomed the opportunity to review some single serve iced coffee. I'm not sure how much easier you need to get than coffee pods, but this idea of whipping up a cup of coffee from concentrate is intriguing.
"What is Coolbrew? CoolBrew® is NOT instant coffee. It is FRESH coffee in an Instant! The beauty of CoolBrew® is that you can have a delicious cup of gourmet flavored coffee (Hot or Iced!) in seconds, without the mess or hassle of brewing coffee."
For the purposes of this review we stuck to iced coffee and not making hot coffee. It's just too hot here in Boston right now to deal with a hot cup of coffee (though I may sneak a cup and go down into the basement a little later on just to get cool).
