Amico Solar Single Serve Coffee Warmer - Sun Baked Coffee
Looking for an eco-friendly way to keep you cup of single serve coffee or tea warm? We give you the Amico. Currently only in concept stage, the Amico is a cactus like "solar plant" (much like the Flip Flap) which you put in a bright spot, and the Sun will then gently warm your single serve coffee, up to 22 times a day. We think more single purpose Sun powered devices are going to be coming out and we're excited, but we want a little battery storage on board for those cold and rainy days to keep our coffee warm.

Coffee Cup Conforms to Shape of Your Lips
Coffee cups, glasses, and even espresso cups are always flat to the mouth making it seem always a bit pressing to get your first sip. And not only are they flat to the mouth, they are often fat to the mouth. This new coffee cup designs both curves the side to fit your mouth, and it is thinner at the lip to make it easier to drink from. We think designer Jinhong Lin should be contacted immediately and get this coffee cup out for the holidays.
One of our readers Beth S. sent this in, and we have to tell you our initial impression - WOW. Spring and Summer is coming, and we can imagine ourselves drinking a very nice iced cup of single serve coffee with a little something in it from this Tiki-Mug. Each one of the mugs is handcrafted, and as of this morning going for a little over $245 at Ebay.
The mug is a whopping 9 and 1/4 inches high and weighs 6 pounds 8 ounces.
It is entirely hand-crafted out of glazed high-fire ceramics with porcelain teeth and details.
This is a one-of-a-kind sculpture, never to be repeated.
Signed and dated with the day it was made - You can celebrate its birthday!
We want one, but hopefully we'll be able to get it a bit cheaper than $245. They should have auctions all the time off of the main site, so keep checking.
Yuno - Get the Weather On Your Single Serve Coffee Mug
It's got to be one of those weeks for amazing coffee mugs, because the amazing coffee mug factor just keeps going, and going, and going. If you haven't heard of Yuno (you-know), then you haven't been combing the blogosphere for the latest in not really available technology that makes you yearn for the future. Yuno is a finalist in Microsoft's Next-Gen PC Design Competition, so you won't be able to purchase it anytime soon.
Yuno is perfect for anyone who checks their e-mail before their first cup of single serve coffee in the morning, or during the checking of said email. The Yuno let's you get your caffeine fix while you check your e-mail, see a traffic report, or check your stocks with its touchscreen. It measures 6.25 x 3.75-inches and has a detachable CPU bottom so that you can pop it in the dishwasher.
Perhaps you live in a neighborhood where the combination of brass knuckles and a coffee cup could come in handy, or perhaps you just want to look tough with your cup of coffee. Whatever you decide may be the reason for needing a set of brass knuckles with your single serve coffee is probably best left up to you, and you alone. This cup is the work of Simone Brewster who tends to get violent while drinking, anything, or it would seem so by his convergence of brass knuckles and coffee.
Reading the phrase, "I Am Not A Paper Cup" - makes one think paper cups around the world have somehow become sentient. Well, that's not the case, but you can be assured making all things a bit more planet friendly and eco-safe is the way even paper cups are headed. This rather interesting double walled porcelain cup has silicone top and looks just like the cup you throw out each day at Starbucks. This cup howeve ris eco-friendly and reusable, plus you can put it in your dishwasher safe.
We know we've been featuring a ton of clear coffee mugs as of late, but we haven't had the chance to feature these Bodum Bistro Double-Wall Insulated Glass Coffee Mugs by themselves. They come packed ina set of 2, and have a 10-ounce capacity. They're also very durable provided you don't drop a giant metal spoon into the bottom. The best part is seeing your coffee in the clear, and if you're a cream and sugar single serve coffee drinker, you'll be amazed at the vortex of coffeeness in the mug.
Bodum Corona Clear Coffee Cup - Clear Mug Mystery Solved
The mug we use in most reviews is the Bodum Corona 13 oz clear coffee mug.
With the help of our faithful readers, we've solved the mystery of the Single Serve Coffee review mug we've been using for over 3+ years. We were correct in thinking it was a Bodum coffee mug, but we didn't have the model correct. We thought it was an earlier model of the Pavina series - just not double walled, but we were wrong. It is in fact the Bodum Corona clear coffee mug. We found them at Whole Latte Love, and we think they are in limited supply, because we don't see them listed on the main Bodum site any longer. We also measured the volume of our cup - and it does indeed hold 13 oz.
Clear Mugs and Single Serve Coffee - Help Us Find More
We have a long tradition here at Single Serve Coffee of using clear mugs in all of our single serve coffee reviews, and several readers have recently written in asking us where we found this clear coffee mug so they could purchase one. We thought we knew where they could, but have found out we can no longer find our precious clear mug for sale anywhere. Now a little background...
Since we first bought the Senseo over 3+ years ago, we also purchased on that same day a clear mug seen in almost all of our reviews. We have long thought the mug we feature in most of our reviews with a handle is from Bodum. Well - it's not. Apparently it's made in France (our only clue to it's origin), and over time we've seen the mug in Whole Foods and other locations for sale but never purchased another one.
We did recently find the new Bistro Double Wall Thermal Coffee Mugs, that are both double walled and also have a handle. But these aren't the same thick sturdy glass construction we've come to know and love.
Please sound off in the comments on where and what clear mugs you've found, can find, or are using. It would be great to have an extensive list of new clear mugs so everyone can enjoy their single serve coffee in the only way we like to drink it - in the clear.
Bodum Pavina Double-Wall Thermo Glasses - Drink Coffee in the Clear
We love the Bodum Pavina 9-Ounce Double-Wall Thermo Glasses, because drinking coffee in a clear mug just doesn't get any better. The Bodum glasses suspend the coffee in a cradle of transparent goodness, and if you mix in a little cream and sugar, you'll witness a storm of sweetness within the clear walls flowing through your coffee.
Crafted of borosilicate glass, which is also used to make scientific lab equipment, the pair is exceptionally strong, lightweight, and thermal. The two-layer construction also resists heat and prevents condensation, so no matter what temperature the beverage is, the glasses remain comfortable to hold and safe for any tabletop.
The cup is made out of sugar and can be reused 3-4 times.
Want a biodegradable coffee cup that tastes and looks sweet? Anna Bullus’s Sugar Cup gives new meaning to term ‘biodegradeable’ with a vanishing cup made entirely of sugar. There is also no need to add sugar to your tea or coffee — as you can just add your tea or coffee to the sugar cup. One Cup or Two can be used up to four times, and come in an assortment of flavors including plain, almond and Irish Whiskey. This might also make a great Mojito cup as well.
Gun Mug is an interesting way to pull the trigger on your cup of coffee. We like the look, but we're not sure this is the best message to send at the office. Perhaps reserve the days you use the Gun Mug to let people know to keep their distance.
Paper Coffee Cup Looks like Stainless Steel Travel Mug
We don't advocate throwing away your travel mug each time you use it, but this travel mug is made of paper instead of stainless steel. Made to look like a conventional travel mug, these paperboard made cups are meant to seem like the perfect on the go coffee cup. We're not sure if they are recyclable, but we really hope they are.
