Well - it seemed to take forever but the City Sensations arrived for review. I've already had a nice cup this morning of the Paris - Vanilla flavored blend.
The most surprising thing - the packaging. It's really quite nice. Expect a full review later in the week.

Jim Evans at Coffee Whiz.com was kind enough to send along a whole set of coffee pods from Gevalia for me to review.
I have tried for no less than 4 months to get Gevalia themselves to send me something, but have gotten caught up in customer service, or told to write a letter to the corporate headquarters for anything marketing related. OMG. It enrages me in these internet driven times that you would have to actually write a piece of mail to get a sample. What enrages me even more, is the fact that Gevalia constantly sends me email about their pod brewer - so - if they have a killer internet division - why can't I contact them on their website about marketing matters?
Okay - moving on. I have tried over the last few weeks the following from Gevalia:
- Gevalia Columbia Pods
- Gevalia French Roast Pods
- Gevalia Columbia Decaf. Pods

The readers spoke earlier this year and asked for more reviews and we've tried to deliver each and every week. We also implemented the Single Serve Coffee review badge to make it easier to quickly get an overall ranking of any coffee pod or item reviewed.
Everyone here at Single Serve Coffee.com is dedicated to more reviews of coffee pods over the next few months and we are excited to have the following pods queued up to review!
If you haven't read our set of current pod reviews, here's our current list for 2005:

The folks at Aloha Island Coffee sent along a sampler pack of their new pods and roasts for us to try at Single Serve Coffee.com. I enjoyed the pods just close to a year ago when Single Serve Coffee.com got started.
The pods back then were packed more like an espresso ESE pod, and now they are packed more like a Senseo/Home Cafe style pod.

A step by step tutorial on how to make your own coffee pods!
Make Your Own Coffee Pods (INeedCoffee.com):
Do you really like your pod coffee maker, but wish you could use your favorite brand of coffee instead of paying a premium price for a mediocre blend -- just because it is shaped like a pod? Why not make your own?

New York City - Restaurants and Dining:
These so-called “single-cup” machines arrive into a coffee culture that has become spoiled about the quality of their java, thanks to Starbucks and other luxury-coffee outlets. Using various forms of coffee software - pods, discs, capsules - these high-tech devices make the old stove-top espresso boiler or French press brewer positively primitive by comparison. One of the products, in fact, reads a bar code on the coffee capsule to determine how much water to pump through.

I can't tell you how hard some days it is to keep up with the number of new pods being made available. Maxwell house is entering the game with their House Cafe pods. You'd think one of these companies would name their product something other than "CAFE", but it makes sense to a consumer who's confused on which pods fit in which machines - etc.

A reader has alerted us that Target has created a house brand of single serve coffee pods. They are priced about what you would expect at ~.24 cents a piece and under the name of "Archer". Has anyone else seen these pods at their local Target? I can't even find the pods at Target.com. Hmmm...
