Green Mountain Coffee has a new level for any member of their Café EXPRESS program and it's called Platinum. After placing your tenth order with Green Mountain Coffee®, as a Café EXPRESS Member, members will automatically advance to their new “Café EXPRESS Platinum” level and receive even greater discounts on coffee every time they order as long as they are a member of Café EXPRESS.
It's official. Caribou Coffee K-Cups can be purchased at Green Mountain Coffee's web site. If you are an existing Cafe Express Member, you can also add these to your K-Cup orders each month from Green Mountain Coffee. We really like Caribou Coffee's French Roast and Sumatra K-Cups, and we noticed they now have a Mahogany blend. We'll have to try that soon.
With the sheer multitude of K-Cup varieties on the market today, it’s almost impossible for us to review every single one (despite our best efforts), so we decided to follow-up our recent GMCR Wild Mountain Blueberry review with another one of Green Mountain’s classic flavored K-Cups... Southern Pecan.
We chose the 5.25oz brew size to extract the full flavors and it didn’t take long for the room to fill up with a strong scent of sweet buttered praline pecans. We could almost taste the real thing just by inhaling the scent, amazing. This was by far one of the best scented coffees we’d tried in a while and it had us wishing that Glade would make this scent as one of their scented candles or plug-ins. Hmm… maybe that’s a market GMCR could explore?
We love the flavor of this Mexican Organic coffee from Timothy's. Each cup of Timothy's Mexican Organic K-Cup Coffee is sweet and spicy, with a surprisingly smoky and smooth finish. We've been drinking this for the past few weeks, and find it to work as a wake up cup of single serve coffee. It has a little zing with the provided zang that gets your morning going.
We decided to give some of our old favorites another try as we wait for newer seasonal varieties to arrive, so our first pick was Green Mountain’s Fair Trade Wild Blueberry K-Cups. A quick look on Green Mountain’s website reveals that the company got its start in 1981 when they opened a small café in Waitsfield, Vermont and roasted their coffee on-site. Some of their first commercial clients were restaurants & inns within the area, but shortly thereafter, skiers from neighboring states started asking the café if they could have its coffee shipped to their homes. This growing demand would eventually give birth to the company’s first mail-order business. As of 1993, the company has been publicly traded on NASDAQ and has quickly established itself as one of the nation’s leading specialty coffee companies not to mention the pioneering force partnering behind the introduction of the Keurig single serve coffee system. Today the company also sells many other coffee & tea brands including Newman’s Own, Caribou and Celestial Seasonings.
Island Coconut K-Cups from Green Mountain are simply one of our favorite seasonal K-Cups. The sweet smell of coconut combined with a smooth blend of coffee makes for a morning treat each year it arrives. And since Spring vacation is coming up, and you may or may not be traveling to an exotic beach given the economy, we think indulging in a little coconut treat for yourself is just what the doctor ordered.
We currently take our Keurig Mini B30 just about everywhere we know good coffee won't be in our travels. Do you have cool places you take your Keurig Mini? Sound off in the comments and/or send us in pictures to:

It's a pretty exciting week of news for any Keurig owner out there because we have news that TWOnew hot cocoa K-Cup flavors are available: Dark Chocolate K-Cups and Milk Chocolate K-Cups.
These are new and different from the regular Hot Cocoa K-Cups from Green Mountain as these K-Cups are a bit more indulgent. Both flavors are available at Green Mountain's web site, and soon Keurig.com exclusively for the next couple of months, after that they'll roll out to the rest of the larger online etailers that sell K-Cups.

Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa K-Cup - A classic favorite for all ages. Sophisticated, sweet cocoa at the touch of a button! Developed expressly for your Keurig Brewer. 24 K-Cups per box.
It's been awhile since we featured the Breville Keurig Single Cup Brewer, and we have to say over the past year+ (read our full review here) it's been in the Single Serve Coffee test kitchen everyday, and we've loved it. It's compatible with all K-Cups, and it features the integrated storage of the reusable My K-Cup filter that allows you to use your own coffee with the brewer. One of the things we really like is the programmable on/off timer. We start ours at 6:30am and shut the brewer off at 11am - the perfect time for several round trips to the Breville for piping hot cups of single serve coffee goodness. It's also the only Keurig brewer to feature integrated walter filtration which makes your coffee taste better.
