Big news everyone - Dunkin Donuts and Green Mountain have teamed up to produce Dunkin Donut K-Cups. Given the recent Starbucks rumblings, we're glad one of the last 2 big roasters have come to their senses and finally decided to go the single serve coffee route and be clear on their product offering.
The Boston Globe has some insights.
Beginning this summer, Dunkin' will offer boxes of authentic Dunkin' Donuts coffee in single-serve K-Cup portion packs exclusively at participating Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the US and Canada, the two companies said in a press release.
And this makes sense on the exclusivity at Dunkin Donuts restaurants. Since all Dunkin Donut restaurants are franchises, this won't take away the ability for them to sell the coffee and the K-Cups. In the past when Dunkin went national in grocery with their ground coffee, the franchises were no longer able to sell a product exclusive to them. Our hats are off to Dunkin Donuts and Green Mountain for keeping the franchises in mind.
What we do know about the pack counts is the Dunkin Donut K-Cups will come in 14 count boxes, and the coffee flavors will include:
- Dunkin Donuts Coffee Original Blend K-Cups
- Dunkin' Decaf Coffee K-Cups
- Dunkin Donuts Coffee French Vanilla K-Cups
- Dunkin Donuts Coffee Hazelnut K-Cups
- Dunkin' Dark Coffee K-Cups
In addition, participating Dunkin' Donuts restaurants will, on occasion, offer Keurig Single-Cup Brewers for sale.
We have the full release after the jump and we couldn't be more excited.

Bummer. According to a letter received from Green Mountain Coffee Roasters over at Shoffee.com, all Kona Coffees and Kona coffee blends from Green Mountain Coffee, Timothy's World Coffee, Coffee People and Tully's Coffee on the (below) list have been discontinued.
Here is the full list of Keurig K-Cups affected by these changes:
- Green Mountain 10% Kona Blend Keurig K-Cups
- Tully's Kona Blend Keurig K-Cups
- Coffee People Kona Blend Island Style Keurig K-Cups
- Timothy's Kona Blend Keurig K-Cups
Why discontinue? Well the price of Kona coffee is going up up up and the Kona coffee crop yields are down 50% due to natural crop cycles and and unusually dry weather. We'll keep you posted on any updates on Kona K-Cup coffees and if they'll reappear next year.

We really like this space saving two-tier carousel that holds up to 18 Keurig K-Cups. It features a black powder-coat finish, and looks great on any counter-top. The Lazy-Susan style base rotates for easy access of your favorite K-Cup coffees, and no the K-cups are not included but you can add your own in minutes.

We decided to look back at some recent holiday K-Cups this past season and although it's a few months late, today we're reviewing Green Mountain's Spicy Eggnog Fair Trade K-Cups. This is a seasonal flavor which is usually available in late November/early December but Amazon.com still has some 24-pack boxes in stock at the time of this review. Our readers in Canada will have to wait until December 15, 2011 when SingleCup.ca is slated to get new stock on this flavor.
Brewing these K-Cups yield aromas of sweet eggnog spiced with dashes of nutmeg. Spot-on scents abound here and are the next best thing to warming up a pot of eggnog on the stove at Christmas time. Outstanding proof that the... uh... roasting aroma-therapists? (yeah, sure... let's call them that) at Green Mountain haven't lost their touch.

Up next in our series of Wolfgang Puck K-Cup reviews is their Wolfgang Puck Vanilla Francaise K-Cups. Seeing as how French vanilla seems to be a fairly standard staple flavor in the K-Cup market (just about every roaster, including Van Houtte, have their own version), we were interested to see Chef Puck's interpretation of this classic flavor.
A strong aroma of sweet vanilla & hints of caramel emerge upon brewing. Out of all the French Vanilla K-Cups we've had over the years, we'd have to say the scent was a bit more pronounced than what we were expecting at first glance.

Our Wolfgang Puck K-Cup reviews continue with their Wolfgang Puck Hawaiian Hazelnut K-Cups. A hazelnut-flavored Kona blend? We’ve got to give props to Chef Puck… he’s got some truly unique coffee flavors to date and we’re really liking what we’re seeing lately.
Light aromas of hazelnut appeared upon brewing with faint notes of vanilla hiding underneath. We were expecting a bit stronger of an aroma but were glad to see the tropical theme was present with the vanilla notes.

We can't say enough good things aboiut the Barista Prima Coffeehouse K-Cups, and sure we like them all but our favorite is the French Roast. This sweet smoky delicious coffee has been gracing our single serve coffee cup over the past 3 weeks, and we can't get enough. The flavor might be bold and deep roasted, but it's amazing how sweet and flavorful the entire sip of coffee is and the mouthfeel - light as air. We recommend trying these if you haven't, and check out the entire line as well.

The Golden French Toast Coffee K-Cups are one of our favorite Seasonal K Cup Coffees from Green Mountain. The maple flavor and aroma explodes from this cup of single serve coffee, and the buttery notes linger on the tongue. We love the touch of cinnamon as well as the overall french toast tastiness this brings to our coffee morning. It's also important to note Green Mountain flavored coffees do not use sugars or sweeteners of any kind.
The Seasonal French Toast Coffee K-Cups will work in your Keurig Elite B40 Brewer, Keurig B50, Keurig Special Edition Ultra Elite B60, Keurig Platinum B70 Brewer, Breville BKC600XL/BKC700XL Gourmet Single Cup Brewer, and other Keurig K Cup brewers including the Keurig Mini Plus and Keurig Mini B30.

We forge onwards in our Wolfgang Puck K-Cup reviews with a flavor that had been piquing our curiosity ever since it was first announced...Wolfgang Puck Jamaica Me Crazy K-Cups. With a name like that, how couldn't one be curious?
Surprising aromas of vanilla & coconut quickly filled the room upon brewing and had the staff quite excited since it brought back fond memories from one of our all-time favorite K-Cups (GMCR's Island Coconut). This was spot-on with the packaging's description, however, we also detected notes of what you'd usually associate with Jamaican beverages... rum!
