''Extra Bold'' K-Cups for Keurig Arrive for Review

Img 0228That was fast! We've got a whole bunch of the two blends to try over the next week or so thanks to Jim Evans at CoffeeWhiz.com.

We haven't put them on a scale to test the 20% extra - but I'm sure we'll be able to tell when we compare against a regular Sumatra K-Cup or Dark Blend.

Stay Tuned!

Keurig B50 Single Serve Coffee Maker Review

Review from Single Serve Coffee.com - Coffee Pod ReviewsIntroWe were very excited to see that on December 1st (and from a fury of emails) that the folks at Keurig had introduced a new Single Cup/Serve Coffee maker in the form of the B50. We reviewed the Keurig B100 earlier in the year and we weren't that impressed for the money - at $249.95 the B100 was a little too expensive for most people looking at the Single Serve Coffee arena and was much better suited for Home Office use.

Review: The Keurig K-Cup Brewer B100

Review from Single Serve Coffee.com - Coffee Pod Reviewskeurig_review1.jpgWhen I first heard about the Keurig K-Cup Brewer - I was stuck on just what the word Keurig meant. After doing a little poking around on the web site my curiousity was satisfied.

"The word "Keurig" is derived from the Dutch word for excellence, and it is our promise to you."

Excellence and a promise of great coffee. Keurig better deliver I thought but, with brands of coffee like Green Mountain and Van Houtte how could it not?

Keurig News From Single Serve Coffee Reader

keurig_new.jpgJohn Schffer writes in news about the purchase and use of his Keurig.

"So I bought one for my office. The convenience is wonderful! Just put water in, let heat, put the K-cup of choice into the machine, press the button, and you have a very hot cup-o'-joe. Pull out the spent K-cup and throw it away for absolutely no mess whatsoever. The downside...it's an OK cup-o'-joe, not a great one, though far better than anything out of the pot of a drip unit, even just brewed. And the coffee K-cup options produce very similar coffee, at least among the 3 styles I bought. I'm comparing, in fairness, to the coffee I make on my home Capresso C2000 machine which produces consistently superb java but at 6 times the cost of the Keurig and with more work and mess."
