Over in Espresso Capsules and Capsule Reviews in the Single Serve Coffee Forums there's word a Swiss inventor has come up with refillable stainless steel Nespresso capsules. There's already refillable capsules made from plastic on the market, but you have to love the need to make a stainless steel one. The review site is in french but you can read the translation here.
It will be interesting to see if any of these make it to US shores.

It’s been a while since we’ve done a Nespresso capsule review here at Single Serve Coffee, but with this latest Limited Edition dubbed Naora (a combination of the English word "now" with the Spanish equivalent of the same word "ahora"), we just couldn’t pass it up. This Grand Cru is truly unique in that it marks the first time Nespresso have deviated from the norm and applied techniques from an entirely different industry during the harvesting process. Instead of using usual methods, they worked in close collaboration with Colombian coffee growers and employed harvesting techniques usually found in vineyards during wine production.

Over in Coffee Talk at the Single Serve Coffee Forums there's word that Nespresso is airing a commercial where they tout clothing is optional. One often wonders why people get all dressed to go to a cafe, when they can simply have amazing single serve coffee and espresso in the comfort of their home. We routinely have our single serve coffee right out of the shower, and wander around in a robe, but wandering around in a towel is an interesting idea especially if you look this good drinking coffee.

The Economic Times has an interesting take on Starbucks' Verismo single serve coffee maker launching this fall - it's going to kill Nespresso's momentum here in the US and maybe even abroad. Since Verismo is coming out this Fall - it's hard to say based on a drink to drink comparison, but the one thing Starbucks has over Nespresso is distribution.

The Maestria has a steam wand built in.
Nespresso is realeasing in April two Nespresso machines - the Maestria and Gran Maestria. The Nespresso Maestria will use the Nespresso coffee capsules for one-touch coffee, espresso, and cafe style drinks. The Maestria will use a steam wand, but the Gran Maestria model will use the Aeroccino for making hot whipped milk.

We finally have a date on Nespresso bringing back the Kazaar coffee capsules in 2012.
Their Twitter feed had the following to say about the date: "You asked and we listened! Kazaar is coming back on 1/16, available online only – RT if you’re counting down!" These capsules will be available online only and you may also want to check out their Facebook page for updates as well.
We never had the pleasure of the Kazaar - so we look forward to getting a few capsules to try out on 1/16.

Nespresso has launched a Lattissima Plus Site which delivers on both the features of the Nespresso Lattissima + and of course the beauty. We simply always enjoy a site with crema the width of your browser window, and with all Nespresso mini-sites this one delivers design in droves. One really cool feature is the changing Nespresso lip stick color you get as you roll over each Nespresso capsule type.

Nespresso is going to launch around September 12, 2011 a blend of Brazilian, Colombian, and Costa Rican Arabica beans along with Indian Robusta 2 called Dhjana. The flavor intensity: 8 with the beans coming from 100% AAA-certified (Nespresso's Sustainable Quality program) which is very close to Rainforest Alliance certification. The capsule color: copper-ish and you can expect more details on recycling the capsules now that Nespresso has put systems into place to deal with the spent aluminum in the capsules to meet a 75% recycle rate in 2013.
We're always anxious to try the limited editions, but they do always sell out fast. We recommend having your browser open to the Nespresso site on 9/12.
