Kraft Foods Debuts Tassimo Hot Beverage System in the U.S

tassimo_us.jpgLooks like Tassimo is coming to the US!!! I will start today to see if we can drum up a Tassimo and some T-Discs for a review! VERY EXCITING!

"Kraft Foods Inc. (NYSE:KFT), a global leader in branded foods and beverages, today announced plans to launch its proprietary Tassimo Hot Beverage System this fall, in the United States. The new brewing system, which will make its U.S. debut at the International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago this weekend, redefines the "on-demand" coffee category by providing a menu of delicious, coffeehouse quality beverages that can be made at home in less than one minute. Kraft has already successfully launched the new brand in France, followed by more recent introductions in the United Kingdom and Switzerland, making this an innovative growth opportunity with great global potential."

Bosch Gustino

bosch.jpgIt's quite ugly I have to say but who knows it could make a killer cup of single serve coffee.

"With this brand new coffee maker you can use all your favorite coffee pods. It's the fastest coffee maker in the world, the water doesn't need any pre-heating (you do have this with the Senseo), so your cup of coffee is ready even faster, and you still have that famous cream layer."

Via Senseo, Bosch Gustino and various coffee pods. Senseo Sydney, regular, dark roast, mild roast

New Gevalia Single Serve Coffee Brewer

Gevalia has a new Kaffe Pod brewer and set of single serve pods. It looks to be a 62mm pod machine (Senseo&Home Cafe). The brewer produces a 6,8, or 12oz cup of coffee and fits a regular or travel sized mug. Hopefully we can get our hands on this soon. Thanks to S. Shevy for writing us about it.

Bodum Santos Vacuum Coffeemaker

B00005NCX5.01._PE25_SCMZZZZZZZ_.jpgI keep getting mail about this beauty - and I have to is indeed a very cool non-single serve coffeee maker.

"As beautiful as sculpture, as fascinating as chemistry, and as entertaining as theater, this coffeemaker from Switzerland converts the ordinary process of brewing coffee into an artful performance. And it makes six 5-ounce cups of full-flavored coffee while it entrances. The coffeemaker fits together like this: water goes into the carafe, a filter fits into the mouth of a tube in the top globe, ground coffee goes into the globe (a scoop is included), the globe fits atop the carafe with the tube extending into the carafe, and the carafe goes onto the stovetop with a trivet or heat diffuser between it and electric or gas heat. (This is all much simpler and quicker than it sounds.)"

Single Cup Precision Pod Brewing System from Grindmaster

opod001.jpgWell - there's both a single cup version and this version. One looks to be targeted at consumers and the bigger one looks to be targeted to cafes and such. I will see if I can drum up both machines to review in the coming weeks.

New Weird Pod Machine at Target

Jvpm1BMy family was doing a typical Sunday Target run for laundry detergent and - WHAM!!!! A single serve coffee machine I've never even seen or heard of before and it was 50% off for the machine and the pods.

It looks as if this machine is marketed by eSalton. Does anyone have this machine? It looks like a Melitta but the coffee was Juan Valdez.

These pods will fit most Pod Brewing Systems on the market today

What's going on with this machine? The packaging and the design had the look of a Target in-house branded machine.

One Cup Coffee Maker Wonder

Melitta Logoredmelitta.jpgI can tell you that we really liked the Melitta One:One as well - but I will tell you it's not the "best" deal at $49.99 - it's a good deal. Most of the Single Serve and One Cup Wonders are at that price point now.

"A single-cup coffee maker is simplicity itself. You don't have to measure coffee or water. Fill the tank with water; just grab one of these pods, pre-measured coffee in a wrapped container, insert it into the machine, and brew the freshest cup every time."

Keurig B50 Single Serve Coffee Maker Review

Review from Single Serve - Coffee Pod ReviewsIntroWe were very excited to see that on December 1st (and from a fury of emails) that the folks at Keurig had introduced a new Single Cup/Serve Coffee maker in the form of the B50. We reviewed the Keurig B100 earlier in the year and we weren't that impressed for the money - at $249.95 the B100 was a little too expensive for most people looking at the Single Serve Coffee arena and was much better suited for Home Office use.

The Mr. Coffee Home Café Coffee Pod Brewer Review

Review from Single Serve - Coffee Pod ReviewsImg 3319HomecafelogoThe Home Café has been a force to be reckoned with this year in the Single Serve Coffee arena. I don't think as much advertising for any of the other entries - maybe Senseo, but it's also been a force to be reckoned with when you consider they will not only have a Black&Decker version, but also a Mr. Coffee and a Braun.

We were anxious to get our hands on the Mr. Coffee version of the product, as the Black&Decker Home Café had turned out to be a little less than stellar in the engineering department (you can read our review here). We had experienced a lack of quality overall with how the coffee maker shuts, the pod holders being plastic - actually - PLASTIC PLASTIC PLASTIC! Our hopes for the entire Home Café line have been pinned to the back of this Mr. Coffee version - would it make the grade?
