Keurig Office Vue V1200 Brewing System with Vue Pack RFID Reader

keurigv1200system.jpg

The Keurig Office Vue V1200 Brewing System is designed to meet the needs of the office coffee market. The brewer integrates RFID technology into the Keurig Vue Packs to make sure only office Vue packs are used in the V1200, and to communicate with the brewer what type of coffee or hot beverage is being prepared.

The Keurig Office Vue V1200 Brewing System with RFID Reader also uses Vue packs exclusively. The office Vue packs are also recyclable just like the consumer Vue packs. No word on what varieties of coffees, teas, and other beverages will be available with integrated RFID Vue packs when the brewer launches later this year.

Verismo Single Serve Coffee Machine from Starbucks Coming Late 2012

Verismo_system_by_Starbucks_image.jpg

Verismo a super-convenient, single-cup machine for making espresso-based beverages at home from Starbucks is coming in late 2012. Verismo will make cafe style espresso based drinks, and will feature milk pods that contain 100% shelf stable milk.

What's the reason for Starbucks creating their own single serve coffee maker when they are making K-Cups and VIA single serve coffees? Espresso Based beverages are missing in their new 3 pronged strategy for the single serve coffee market. They feel the new Verismo machine will compliment their two other offerings.

Here's is their 3 pronged strategy:

  • Brewed single serve coffee with Green Mountain Coffee produced Starbucks K-Cups
  • VIA for people who don't want to purchase a single serve coffee maker
  • Verismo - Starbucks like quality - ability to make milk based beverages

Regarding the new VUE packs from Green Mountain - they are "looking into it." We don't expect Starbucks VUE packs now given Verismo, but they will continue to make K-Cups. We would like to state given we thought the chances of a Starbucks single serve coffee maker very likely - we find it refreshing they'll offer their coffees across many single serve coffee options - not just their new brewer.

SunCana Coffee Pod Brewer Upgraded

suncana_brewer.jpg

The SunCana coffee pod brewer might look like the older Sun Cafe coffee pod brewer, but we can assure you it's not the same under the hood. After SunCana reached out to us and sent us their upgraded coffee pod brewer to check out we found that many of our complaints about this brewer model had been fixed.

Review: Keurig VUE V700 Single Cup Brewing System Makes Amazing Coffee, Tea, and Café Style Drinks

Review Single Serve Coffee12-V700-Vue-Brewer-alt5.jpg

The Keurig Vue V700 Single Cup Brewing System uses Keurig's Vue Packs, and is a single cup brewing system capable of making coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and even lattes and cappuccinos. The Keurig VUE brewer can only use Keurig Vue Packs, and not K-Cups, which are meant for older Keurig systems. Also unlike the older K-Cups, pulling off the top of the foil lid with the filter attached to a VUE Pack one can recycle the cup part of a VUE pack.

Brew1 Single Serve Coffee Brewer

brew1npofferlg.jpg

We just found this rather interesting single serve coffee brewer called the Brew1. This compact brewer retails for $99 and comes with a bunch of single serve coffees to try out. We're not sure where Brew 1 is made but it does feature brew temps of 195-200F, and also comes in 3 colors. The brewer also appears to have no water reservoir, and you simply add a cup of water each time to brew your coffee.

Keurig VUE V700 Single Cup Brewing System Arrives for Review

keurigvuereviewunits.jpg

We decided after hearing about the Keurig Vue V700 Single Cup Brewing System and Keurig Vue Packs were at retail to venture out this morning to find one to bring home for review. We found that our local Bed, Bath, and Beyond in Burlington, MA has the VUE Brewer and VUE Cups for sale so we picked a brewer, carousel, and VUE cups up. There's quite a few flavors of coffee, tea, and even a barista VUE Cup pack of the Vanilla Latte available which surprised us on the initial launch variety.

Will the Keurig Vue Single Cup Brewing System fit a Travel Mug?

keurig_vue_travel_mug.jpg

Why yes - in fact the Vue Brewer will fit a travel mug. The drip tray can be pulled forward to make room for a large sized travel mug in the Keurig Vue Brewer. You can also brew full strength in a travel mug with Vue packs specially formulated to brew a bigger cup with the strength you would want in a large travel mug.

How are Keurig VUE Packs AKA V-Cups Different than K-Cups?

keurg_vue_packs.jpg

The Keurig Vue Brewer works only with the patented Vue packs or V-Cups. Each portion pack contains exactly the right amount of coffee, tea or other beverage. Also the Vue packs can only be used with Vue Brewers. They are not interchangeable with K-Cup Brewers and K-Cup packs.

We expected this to be the case when Keurig announced the new VUE Brewer, and to solve all the problems of different beverages, recycled K-Cups, and brew strength a new brew system was invented. One of the big innovations we're most excited to try is the latte or cappuccino drinks that come with a coffee and a milk portion vue pack.
