Over at ShoffeeBlog they've found a rather interesting gem in the single serve coffee world - the "Keurig" Trevie Brewer. They're unsure if it's licensed or not, but it does look like the Japan is ready for K-Cups and single serve coffee brewing.
We also really like the logo of 3 colored dots, but we're not sure if we wan to drink chartreuse colored coffee like the coffee cup in the picture. It looks more mustard than coffee, but it's nice to see if you buy the brewer and like the logo you can get hot drinks in all 3 colors.

The Andis Company has a coffee pod brewer now available, and we're pretty sure we've never seen it before. Given Andis makes mostly products used at salons or home hair cutting, perhaps this coffee pod brewer is made for salon use as an additional item to purchase to make that hair cutting visit all the better. If you go over to Ebay there seems to be both a single serve coffee pod brewer available and also they have a larger drip coffee brewer. Note - the smaller coffee pod brewer will only work with coffee pods (see our section of reviews here).

Toward the end of our unboxing post we promised more detail on the Trifecta's features, ease of use, and effectiveness in terms of single-serve brewing. Now it's time to deliver. We'll do so in two parts: (a) today's step-by-step walk-through of how to make a cup using this machine, highlighting important points along the way, and (b) a summary post next week discussing pros and cons. Let's start 'walking through' already!
Step 0. Wake up the Trifecta, if necessary
After 6 hours of inactivity, the Trifecta's heater drops from 200 degrees F to 140 to conserve energy. A quick press of the brew button or movement of the latch (with brew chamber in place) will start the roughly 1-minute process of getting the machine back to its optimal brewing temperature.

Back in January, we first got word that Bunn might have a home version of the Trifecta in the works. A few days later were able to pass along more information, and then forum member EricBNC provided a first look/taste after trying out the machine at CoffeeCon in Chicago the weekend after its official release. At the time, Bunn graciously offered to provide a trial unit for us to review, but demand for the first run of Trifectas—assembled by hand in Springfield, IL—was high, so we took a deep breath and eagerly followed early adopters’ initial reports of the high-quality coffee the Trifecta was capable of producing. We’re happy to report that our trial unit has now arrived, and it was certainly worth the wait. How about some unboxing pictures?
The Trifecta arrived double-boxed. That "delicate electrical instrument" label on the outer box made us smile.

We've already taken a look at our likes/dislikes as well as a rundown of comparison features between the old K-Cup brewers and the newer Vue-Pack brewers. As a result, we're continuing our review series today by taking a look at some of the new options which are now available when brewing coffees on the Keurig Vue V700 brewer.
Unlike the older K-Cup brewers, you can now adjust a variety of options prior to brewing. Anything from water temperature to brew strength is now user-adjustable. Let's take a look at some of the new features and how they work, shall we?

We recently started reviewing Keurig Vue-Cups and decided to take a step back and compare the new Keurig Vue V700 to one of our favorite K-Cup brewers which we've been using for years, the Keurig B70 Platinum. We thought it would be fun to do an informative comparison between the Keurig Brewers so that new users could get an idea of the major differences between both machines as well as some of our likes/dislikes between the two. We'll start things off with the Keurig B70 Platinum and follow-up with the Keurig Vue V700. Our apologies for the length of this article... you may want to grab a few cups of single serve coffee before reading this monster-sized "Mega Review" :-)

Sure it makes 12 cups, but it also has easy one-handed dispensing making it a 12 cup wonder with one cup at time ease. The removable coffee chamber also has a 24-hour programmable timer for wake-up coffee, and a brew-pause function so you can get that perfect cup. Also, this coffee maker reminds us of the Brew Station we reviewed a few years back.
One thing about these single serve at a time with 12 cups on hand coffee makers - if you're throwing a breakfast party the amount of coffee these can hold makes a nice trade off. Also pricing on this model vs the Brew Station is good. The Brew station will set you back about $86, where as this Mr. Coffee version will only set you back $49.

Brewing a cup of French Roast coffee from La Pod coffee pods.
The SunCana (formerly SunCafe) coffee pod brewer has recently received several upgrades. Though coffee pod brewers using this design have have failed to impress us in the past, the current iteration of the SunCana coffee pod brewer impresses us with 3 key upgrades that make the coffee produced excellent.
The SunCana brewer improvements include:
