We've yet to officially review the Starbucks Caffè Verona T Discs for Tassimo, but you can read our earlier reviews here and here of two other Starbucks T Discs. Like the other coffees we've had from Starbucks for Tassimo - the Verona T Discs produce excellent coffee. These also come packed in - 2 - 12 count boxes for just $19.99.
These T Discs will work in the Tassimo TA1400 and TA1200 hot beverage systems.
We've got a couple of videos for you appearing on YouTube about the Tassimo Bosch single serve coffee maker. We're not sure how informative either of these videos are, but they do give you a great impression for how much the french do love their Tassimo coffee, espresso, and hot beverages.
The first video is more polished and definitely a promo. The second video is a slideshow of the different bloggers or press that attended the unveiling event in Paris.
SH from Canada has written in and provided a rather extensive translation of the new Tassimo designed by Bosch web site in France. The Bosch's France-based Tassimo website is now LIVE. It also appears no other Bosch Tassimo websites are online yet, and there's lots of juicy tidbits of the Bosch Tassimo features below.
Here's what SH had to say with a translation of the site from French to English:
We've got what we believe is the first picture of the Bosch designed Tassimo single serve coffee maker. Now we can't be sure this picture is the final production model, but we hope it is. This picture shows a slimmer design for the Tassmo single serve coffee and hot beverage system. We've always loved Bosch designs, so it's not surprising they took a step in a new design direction with the Tassimo. Apparently the machine is also much quieter. We'll provide more details as we find out about the Bosch designed Tassimo single serve coffee maker.
On a recent episode of Friday Night Lights, "There Goes the Neighborhood", Tassimo has some pretty prominent placement. We had no idea how hard it was to please the coach, and get him a perfect cup of coffee all in the same day. The Tassimo is brought into "play" by the coach's wife and sister, and in a fury of dialog - the coach declares, "That's a better cup of coffee." We're glad with Superbowl season upon us, football fans all over the nation may switch to Tassimo, and make a better cup of coffee for all those Superbowl parties.
If you haven't seen Friday Night Lights, we recommend it highly. It's one of the best shows on network TV, and we think even better than the movie it's based on.
The Starbucks House Blend coffee T Discs are supposed to taste just like the Starbucks House Blend coffee you'd make in your drip coffee maker or pick up at Starbucks. How good is it? Is it even close to being as good as coffee at Starbucks or coffee produced in a drip coffee maker?
Amazon.com has the Tassimo TA 1400 for $129.99. That's $40 off the standard price of $169.99. You can then send in a mail in rebate for $30.00 and the item qualifies for FREE Shipping. That brings the price after rebate for the Tassimo to $99. So if you're looking to get a Tassimo for a holiday gift, nows the time.

We've received a set of the Starbucks Coffee T-Discs for Tassimo. These T Discs are using the larger milk sized T-Disc, and the coffee produced so far is very very Starbucks. Right now we're sipping on a cup of Starbucks House Blend produced from our Tassimo Hot Beverage System, and we would be hard pressed to tell the difference from a cup brewed at Starbucks instead of in the Single Serve Coffee test kitchen.
We should have a review or two later this week. The T-Discs are packed 12 to a package at a cost of $9.29, putting the cost per T Disc at about $.78 a cup. That's half the cost a normal cup of Starbucks coffee in the store.
Tassimo owners now have access to these four Starbucks coffees for the Tassimo Hot Beverage System:
It's been longer than we've wanted to get some Tassimo reviews out the door. We've been drinking a fair amount of the new Tassimo offerings TassimoDirect.com has brought in from it's European counterparts, and we've really been waiting for the Starbucks Tassimo T Discs that will hopefully arrive in the next 2-3 weeks. So far the Mastro Lorenzo Coffee Crema Intenso T Discs for Tassimo aren't available on TassimoDirect.com (you can see them on the UK Tassimo site), but should be available soon. You can find them however on Ebay and other auction sites that will ship you T Discs from oversees.
Update: Maestro Lorenzo Crema Intenso is available through Tassimo for Tassimo customers through its Direct Delivery service.
