We've just received a set of the Organa Tea Pods to try out here at Single Serve Coffee. We're big afternoon tea drinkers usually opting for a lemon tea or Earl Grey depending on our caffeine needs. The Organa Tea Pods are Certified USDA Organic Tea Pods, which makes your tea a little bit more natural.
There's a large variety of flavors available including:
It's been awhile since we've featured tea pods here at Single Serve Coffee. We aren't the biggest tea drinkers, but one tea we enjoy in the evenings is mint tea. Mint tea both relaxes the spirit, and provides a fresh taste from your Senseo single serve coffee and now tea maker. These are recommended for use in the Senseo HD7820 Deluxe Single-Serve Gourmet Coffeemaker or the Senseo HD7832 Supreme Single-Serve Gourmet Coffeemaker, because these two models of the Senseo come with a special tea filter holder.

Individually Wrapped Bigelow Tea Pods
Is a Tea Pod revolution afoot? We're not sure we'll replace our coffee pod drinking habit wiht tea pods any time soon, but if you want an invigorating cup of Earl Grey during the day, these Bigelow Tea Pods may be for you. The Earl Grey Bigelow Tea Pods come packed 18 tea pods per box for $6.95 and each pod will make 1 - 8 oz cup of tea. Camomille, Earl Grey, Green Tea and English Breakfast tea pods are available.
Note: Most Pod brewers come with more than one brew basket. You're going to want to devote one brew basket to tea exclusively. If you used a brew basket that has been used for coffee, please clean and rinse basket to remove coffee residue before brewing. These Tea Pods will work in your Senseo, Bunn My Cafe, Melitta One:One, simplehuman, and Krups Home Cafe single serve coffee pod brewers.
Cafepods Launches Online Store Dedicated to US Customers
Remember Cafepods? We do. Back in 2004 when we launched Single Serve Coffee.com they were the only place you could get pods for your Senseo, Bunn My Cafe, Krups Home Cafe, and simplehuman single serve coffee pod brewers. Because Cafepods was UK based the US Government made it a total pain to ship order direct to the US. Well now that trouble is gone.
Cafepods has a dedicated US website and they ship UPS Air Express for as low as $14.95, and with orders placed over $100 bucks, your order will ship FREE! All Cafepods Coffee pods use freshly roasted coffee, ground and measured to exact requirement weight then encapsulated in paper.
You may want to read our review of their French Vanilla Pods way back in June of 2004 to get more familiar with Cafepods US (Easypods.co.uk in Europe). We'll be getting a set of their new coffee pods to review very soon.
Wendy from Typical Dutch Stuff sent in some interesting news regarding new T-Pads (okay in the US we call them Pods not Pads) from Pickwick designed for Senseo. The kit even includes a tea pod holder designed to brew up a better cup of tea.
As of March 13, Senseo and Pickwick's latest addition for the Senseo will be available for purchase. They have created four different tea pods: Tempting Red, Early Grey, Minty Green, and Lemon & Lime. We will be offering a special starters set, which includes all the new flavors and a special T-Pod holder for the Senseo.
We are currently testing both the Mr. Coffee Home Cafe and the Black & Decker Home Cafe second generation products and are excited to try the new Lipton Tea Pods with these machines as well. Many readers write in to inquire about how they can make tea with their Home Cafe, Senseo, Bunn My Cafe, or other single serve coffee pod brewer. It's nice to see a product that is just for coffee pod machines but many readers have found using a tea bag or using loose tea wrapped up in a coffee filter also works quite well in the Senseo and Bunn My Cafe.
We'll keep you posted on how these tea pods fair in testing.
We've got some pictures of the new Lipton Tea Pods for Home Cafe & other compatible single serve coffee brewers. These new Tea Pods come in a variety of flavors including:
Lipton Citrus Blossom
Lipton Vanilla Hazlenut (sounds like coffee more than tea)
